- If your wallet is 3 1/8" wide and 5 1/4" long or smaller, it will stand on end inside one of the smaller compartments. Or if your wallet is approximately 6" long and 1 1/2" wide or smaller, it will fit nicely length-wise into the larger compartment. (This is different for the Butler Bag Hybrid.)
- There is not enough room in the side pouches to place your wallet and close the bag, unless it is a thin wallet or change purse. If you need an idea of how thin, I can place my planner, which is a little larger than a checkbook, in a side pouch and have no problems closing the zipper.

- A wallet will fit well in the large compartment (longer wallets would stand on end) or in a side pouch. (This is different for the Butler Bag Classic.)
- You can fit a small laptop (with up to a 12" screen) into one of the side pouches and be able to zip the bag. Anything larger than that may fit into the bag, but the bag may not be able to zip closed.

Update: The 2008 Butler Bag line just launched! This season's Butler Bag comes with a lighter, softer interior design that is HALF the weight of the 2007 Butler Bag (although they were already pretty light!) and matching in color to the outside of the bag.

Butler Bag: Feet vs No Feet
With the Butler Bag having a flat bottom, you may wonder if there are feet on the bottom of the bag itself. There are, in fact, no feet on the Butler Bag, because product testing revealed that they scratch hardwood floors, tables, countertops, etc.

Once I started using the Butler Bag daily, I realized: "This is better than I expected it would be!"
I carry the the Butler Bag Hybrid when I'm either working with clients, as I need room for organizing tools and admin files, or when I am traveling. I carry the Butler Bag Classic when I am going out on the town or out running errands.
There are lots of things I like about the Butler Bag, but I will share my favorite with you: it helps me keep up the habit of putting things back where they belong.
