Delicious Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Buttercream Frosting Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Vegetable Shorting
1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
1 Pound Confectioners' Sugar (Icing Sugar)
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

Buttercream Frosting Directions:

1.Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, beat together the butter and vegetable shorting until blended.

2.With the mixture running, gradually add the confectioners' sugar until incorporated.

3.Add the vanilla extract and beat until light and fluffy, about 5 more minutes.

Ta Da! You now have yummy...creamy ....delicious buttercream frosting!

Use it right away or store in a sealed container in the refrigerator until you are ready. I would recomend letting the frosting get to room temperature before using it, just to make it easier to spread or pipe.
