Butterfly gardening adds another layer of beauty to your garden landscape.

Creating gardens that reflect our tastes and preferences in plants is a rewarding endeavor. We can add another dimension to our efforts by creating a habitat that attracts and nurtures butterflies. Here is a link to our page on Butterfly Gardening.  There you can find more information about plants that serve as food sources as well as host plants that feed and provide shelter for butterfly larvae and the subsequent pupa.

Plants for your Butterfly Garden

Our friends at Park Seed have a great selection of plants for your butterfly garden. You should have a good assortment of nectar sources as well as host plants to attract the largest number of butterflys. Different species have different preferences for host plants. Check with your state's horticultural extension office to find out what species are prevalent in your area.
