Buy a Renaissance Costume

My first visit to a Renaissance Faire enchanted me. It was great fun seeing all the people in costume enjoying activities from the Renaissance period. I knew it would be even more fun to dress in costume and participate. My nieces attended many Ren Faires and had told me what a great experience it was. I'd seen photos of them in their Renaissance Faire costumes. There's something about being in costume that brings you out of yourself and frees you from the humdrum daily life.

Now the challenge was to find the right costume. Would I dress as a member of the upper class in velvet and lace or should I costume myself as a serving wench? After seeing the wide variety of costumes worn by the participants at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, I knew there were other possibilities too. One friend was a juggler and dressed in the costume of a court jester.
