Sales of iPod Classic Are Still Going Strong

With all the new touch technology that the makers of the Apple iPod are getting us excited about, it's easy to forget about the iPod Classic. But the Classic is just that - a classic, and sales are as strong as ever.

The reason that the Classic is still a big deal in the world of music electronics is that for the price, you can get a TON of storage space, and for the avid music and video collector, this makes big difference. The Classic is different than the iPod Touch. The Classic offers far more storage space and a longer battery life, but not the extra applications that the Touch has.

For someone who isn't that much into all the extras, but wants and iPod that can store an incredible amount of media, and playback for longer periods of time, the Classic is the best choice. That's why people are still flocking to the iPod Classic.

Apple iPod Accessories You Can't Live Without

If you have an Apple iPod, you need accessories. Can you get by without iPod accessories? Maybe, but if you really want to make the most of your iPod experience, there are some thing you'll really want to have to go with it.

One accessory that is essential is a docking station. Docking stations charge your iPod, but many of them can do so much more than that. Docking stations with speakers can play your music for you - you don't have to stick headphones in your ears. Some docking stations come with alarm clocks, and some with radios. Some have Bluetooth capabilities.

Other accessories for your iPod include a car charger, iPod case, and earphones - yes iPods come with earphones, but you can buy comfort earphones, noise-reducing earphones and earphones with microphones, too.

Are iPod accessories absolutely necessary? Probably not. But once you get them, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them!

Have you tried posting the problem in either the Apple support forum or in the Itunes forum. It seems in the Itunes you need to put them in an album and in the Ipod in a most recently file.[in reply to WaynesWorld]

I like the Ipod Touch but it drives me nuts when I spend a half hour loading a series of CD's for some seminar or audio series and the darn things get uploaded in any old fashion. I have tried to do different things to label them just so but it seems I have a knack for getting it to do funky things.

I have the 80GB iPod Classic and I simply love it. There is so much fantastic audio content available on the web today and even with constant, sometimes daily, downloads from my favourite teleseminar presenters and podcasters, with 80GB my downloads have barely made a dent in the capacity of it (and that's after almost 2 years!).

I remember as a teenager going on holiday for a week to Switzerland, by train from the UK, and carrying my bulky cassette recorder (long before the days of Walkmans!) with 5 or 6 favourite Beatles cassettes.

Incredible to think that today I could do a year's travel and never listen to the same broadcast twice!

I guess one day I'll move to the iPod Touch but for now the Classic remains my treasured and trusty companion.
