A Back Link Pyramid is a network in which a level of back links are created, then a second level of back links are created that link back to the first level.
This second level of links can make the first level of back links look as though they come from authority sites in the eyes of search engines.

What Is a Link Wheel?
A Link Wheel is a circular backlinking strategy in which links point toward a main website and also toward one other backlink source.
Assume there is one main website (MS) and four backlink sources/websites (BL1, BL2, BL3, BL4). BL1 would have a backlink to MS and BL2. BL2 would have a backlink to MS and BL3. BL3 would link to MS and BL4. BL4 would link to MS and BL1. Diagrammed, this would look like a four-spoke wheel. This strategy of backlinking allows all backlink sources to appear as being equally authoritative sites.
Some Link Wheels are left open (BL4 does not connect back to BL1) in order to prevent detection by search engines.

Sometimes it's hard to get your foot in the door. Many people automatically assume that a website must be good if 300 people were there before them. If getting more visitors is what it takes to get your page to go close enough to the top to be noticed then it could be worth it. I am still trying to get started by doing it myself. I do not want to waste money by not getting targeted traffic. There are so many of these sites that it is hard to know which ones I can trust.
