I personally tend to buy from local shops, unfortunately the available modes sometimes did not follow the times. Sometimes only the catalog provided by the store manager, who in want of goods must be in order first and wait until many months until the goods arrive.

This boot is much more comfortable than I thought it would be. I wouldn't run a marathon in them, but I can wear them all day and be perfectly comfortable. The boot has an attitude to them, even when you're not wearing them! Access in and out of the boot is very easy with an easy zipper pull on the inside of the boot. The straps are adjustable (not just decoration) to make the boot a little tighter if needed (those with lower insteps). I've worn them a lot over the last couple of months and they are starting to break in really nicely. None of the buckles or metal pieces have fallen off or rusted, and they don't show any indication of doing so. Overall, a very good boot for the right wardrobe. (more user review)

I just got a motorcycle and taking a riding course that requires boots that cover your ankle. I order this boot as they had it in my size of 6.5 men. When it arrived I was impressed by the looks and feel. It is made with good looking and heavy leather. Like the way the zippers zip up which makes it very easy to get in and out. You can unzip the zippers a little way down to give the top of the boots more slack and release the pressure off your legs. I haven't been wearing boots before but it didn't any time to get use to wearing these. I did notice that shifting gears on my Suzuki that it worked best to shift up by using the side of the boot above the sole. Another pair of boots I had was hiking boots and with those I could get my foot under the shifter and shift up using my toe but these boots are much thicker and so it was hard to get under the shifter so I used the side and it works well after I got use to it. First put these on after a 9 hour shift at work ( I'm on my feet all day ) and besides a little tightness in the right heel they fit perfectly! I haven't ridden with them yet, but they are solidly constructed and seem to be a very solid boot. Coverage and support seem excellent and yet they are not overly bulky. I really like these boots. The name can be a bit off-putting unless you realize that Harley is naming a line of boots for motorcycle parts, and not their wearers. The weight is just at the point where you notice you are wearing leather boots, but not so bad that you drag your feet when you walk. Of course these boots were made for riding, not walking, and the flex in the uppers is great for many positions your feet go through as a rider i.e. standing at a stoplight, highway pegs, shifting/braking, etc. I have worn them for about a month before I wrote this review, and the leather is holding up very well. No blemishes or scratches are evident even after daily wear and repetitive shifting. Great purchase. (more user review)

I bought these boots for two reasons. 1.) they are tall enough to protect my calves from my pipes while riding and 2.) they have a tall sole, giving me a sure foot while at a stop with my bike. I intended to use these for riding only but have found them to be a staple item in my wardrobe. Every time I wear them I receive at least one compliment on they way they look. Very comfortable.
