You have some of the best lenses, and I hope that the ones you sold benefitted many feral cats :)

It's so nice to see you raising money for the poor kitties. It breaks my heart seeing pets in shelters and thinking about them living in cages with no family to love them.. Or being euthanized.. Every time I see one of the SPCA commercials on TV it kills me.. Cry every time. I'm so pathetic. LOL

You are doing fantastic work for the cats and have surely made a difference in so many lives. I wish I was in a position to support it by buying one of your wonderful lenses as all of your work is top quality. I hope that the cats and the lenses alike find good homes where they will be cherished as they deserve to be.

Hey! Squidoo is letting me leave a comment for a change! The amount of top quality lenses you have produced is just amazing! I know you'll have no problem selling them

By the way, your Bandit is exactly like our Gravy. 5* as usual. Hope they stick.

What a good idea. You are obviously an expert lensmaster, so buying one of your lenses could be a very good start, especially for new recruits.
  • kiwisoutback Apr 6, 2009 @ 1:37 pm | delete
Julie- good luck with selling your lenses, this is a great opportunity to get a hold of a top lensmaster's handcrafted masterpieces! You've created some of the best. AND it goes to benefit a great cause. Best of luck, and SquidAngel blessed.

I didn't know what lenses were until I reviewed your site -- thank you for working towards a good cause -- I love animals and wish I could do more in South Florida to help them. So much of the environment has been torn up by construction here, that the wildlife has very little places to go. This concerns me - I would love to become active in helping animals in the local community and I hate seeing the number of euthanized animals -- Good luck with your project!

Good luck with your cats. You do make the best lenses; hopefully you will connect with the right people to sell them for your cause.

Well, best of luck with your charity. I can hardly watch the advertisements by Sarah McClachlin. And this is an interesting idea. I will post it on Margo's Squidoo Library lens, Squidoo Branch, so more people will see it. *****

so glad to see your doing this. our town (city of 17,000) has a catch & release program, however, most of the cats stay at the beach (were in asbury park nj - right at the shore) so they dont bother many people - in fact, we are quite product of them :)

Excellent lens! I have made an effort for ferals, spaying and neutering over 25! I have personally adopted out over 30 kittens in the past few years.

Living in a rural community, cats are necessary, however educating the community on catch, fix and release has been a challenge I am willing to take on! Now that the locals are spayed and neutered, we just have happier and healthier outdoor companions who are not constantly having kittens (although I do miss all the kittens :)

Thank you for all of your efforts and sharing this information!

    Greetings Julie !
I so connected with this lens...
I took responsibility for my local ferals, had them all spayed and neutered and then the city of Los Angeles would not honor the payment coupons to the Vet as he was in Glendale, a separately incorporated city within greater Los Angeles, So I ended up paying for it all.
Now they are not breeding of control and greet me everyday when I feed them.
I am a Bird Rescue, helping cats as well !!
    Warm wishes,
    Karen
