She once said that every time she crossed over one mountain it seemed like there was another one ahead for her to climb. But she kept her sense of humor through it all and laughed and had fun all her life! What a wonderful example! She is greatly missed by her family and especially my grandfather whom she was married to for 72 years!

As we celebrate Mother's Day with our own mothers I think it would be great if we would take time to think of other mother's on this special day. For instance, think of how many YOUNG mothers are out there who have young children and may be raising them alone, and there is really no one out there to give them something special or do something special for them. I think it would be nice if each of us thought of one mother who was raising young children by herself and do something nice for her on Mother's Day.

Some things we could do would be to get her a gift certificate to a nice resturant so she and a friend could go out and offer to baby sit her kids the Saturday night before Mother's day. Or, just give her a gift basket. It could be something big or small but either one I know would be more than appreciated. Every time we do for others we will be blessed in so many ways. The good shared will uplift everyone. So, think of someone you can do something good for on Mother's Day along with your own mother.
