Bottle Tops

Yes, I said Bottle Tops are ingenious and I mean it. It's because Bottle Tops are so useful but the idea was so simple that any of us could have thought of it.  And, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the person who actually invented bottle tops was probably no genious.

As with most As Seen On TV stuff, Bottle Tops fulfills a need that a lot of people have in their every day lives. Although most of us can survive without most of the As Seen On TV products, you have to admit that some are pretty cool.

In the case of Bottle Tops, the inventor was probably trying to solve one of a few problems we face concearning aluminum cans.  I happen to be a diet coke addict and I'm continuously wasting my DC by leaving half full cans around the house which I cannot drink.  After a while they go flat and I dump them out.  Putting them in the fridge for safe keeping is no solution either because there is nothing to keep them air tight which is what preserves the fizz.  Now, this is just what I call my Diet Coke nuisance factor.

But the real issue with cans, and why Bottle Tops are so great, is because leaving cans around half filled with no way to keep them fresh and fizzy costs a lot of money!  Cans are not the cheapest way for us soda addicts to stay alive, but cans taste the best.  Bottle are a rarity these days and if you can find them they are pricey.  For awhile, I thought those teeny little novelty cans would be the answer but they are really expensive and don't contain enough Diet Coke to satisfy me. I end up opening two or three and just wasting them as well.

Now, I know if you're still with me, you are saying to yourself "why not buying 2 liter bottles?"  The answer plain and simple is because they don't taste as good as cans.  In theory they solve the problem but let me take it a step further.

What about taking our sodas, beers and energy drinks with us.  Two-liter bottles are too big to lug around on a hike, bike ride or picnic.  Now a days we all seem to travel with cool back packs or small outdoor bags which are perfect for small items but not 2 liter bottles of soda.  And why the heck to so many energy drinks come in cans anyway?  We don't exactly consume them so we can sit around. They need to be a bit more portable don't you think?

Well this is why I said Bottle Tops are ingenious. Bottle tops turn any can into a little bottle which will preserve your fizzy liquids and make them more portable.  Let's watch the silly bottle tops commercial below and have a few laughs while I prove my point.
