Sizing Information, Recommendations, and What's New

As a self-affirmed geek and a girl, I love that ThinkGeek, purveyors of geek clothing and toys of the best sorts, recognizes the science- and computer-loving women of the world and that they offer T-shirts filled with inside jokes that only your fellow geeks will get. I've made the shirts easier to find by categorizing them by geek types. You can also get specifics on the interactive musical T-shirts though they are not made in babydoll style (yet).

If you have a women's T-shirt from ThinkGeek that I haven't included please share your experience on sizing and any shrinking issues you may have had. I haven't had any of their shirts shrink in the dryer but I don't think I've bought one of every brand quite yet. Naturally I can't include all of the ladies' babydolls here so if you don't see quite what you want click one in the category and you can find related shirts on the main ThinkGeek site. Thank you!

NEW T-Shirts from ThinkGeek

My Nerdy Wish List

Rocket SurgeonFor those who have embraced the malapropism "It's not rocket surgery" ThinkGeek has brought you a rocket surgeon. Of course, if you are a rocket scientist you can get the shirt that reads "Actually, It IS Rocket Science". I'm not but I still want one.

Free Hugs Cactus BabydollAs a non-cuddly and, you may have noticed, slightly sarcastic person, this new Free Hugs shirt tickled my funny bone. As a devotee of libraries and books in general, I'm coveting the t-shirt that reads "The book was better" as well. Non-Flammable? BabydollBut then I get distracted by things like the babydoll to the left. In case the letters are too small, it reads, "Non-flammable? Challenge accepted."

Probably the next shirt I'll buy from ThinkGeek, however, is the Schrödinger's Cat Babydoll, which didn't used to come in women's styles. I've wanted one forever and now they finally have one!

TV and Movie Babydolls

Geek Gear for the Female Cult Classic Fan

Spanish Inquisition BabydollNothing says "geek" like a shirt with a line from an obscure movie or television show that cracks up a select few. ThinkGeek, happily, offers a pile of shirts that let you proclaim your fan-hood to those who understand. Hello My Name Is Inigo Montoya BabydollTake, for instance, these shirts that Monty Python fans and those who love the movie The Princess Bride drool over and the rest of the planet doesn't understand. (If you're one of those drooling, click either of the shirts to get your own).

Come to the Dark Side BabydollYou can buy shirts that proclaim your affiliation with Princeton Plainsboro or Sunnydale High. Naturally, you can find a Dr. Who babydoll, your classic Empire Strikes Back babydoll, and a Firefly Logo Babydoll while you're at it. You can get a women's t-shirt with the Serenity in flight, a bright red one that reads, "Bazinga!", and (my personal favorite) a fantastic note from Darth Vader that lures good Jedi knights to the dark side with baked goods. If you want your own Labryinth-inspired The Babe With the Power shirt like the one in the picture at the top you can get one of those, too. Just don't wear it the same day I wear mine, okay?

Science Geek Women's T-Shirts

Babydoll Tees for Science Nerds

Chocolate Molecule BabydollWhat could be more entertaining for science geeks than shirts that proclaim your passion and give fellow scientists a giggle at the same time? Take, for instance, the tasty T-shirt to the right Stand Back (Science) Babydollthat lets you share your love for chocolate in a way that most people won't understand (you can get a red capsaicin molecule and a blue caffeine molecule, too). And it comes in babydoll style so you don't have to wear baggy men's shirts under your lab coat. As above, if you see a shirt you love click on it to get your own. I'm including a few of them but you can find Heavy Metal Scoop Neck Babydolla dozen women's science shirts at ThinkGeek and, if you think you have a great idea for one, you can submit your own suggestions.

Molar Mole BabydollPersonally, I'm fond of in-jokes like this Heavy Metal shirt, the Literal Sweet Heart Tee, and the one that reads, "not that kind of doctor". Then there's the Periodic BaCoN V-Neck Babydoll and the ever-so-subtle Molar Mole shirt with a cute woodland creature made of the Avogadro constant (and a pair of glasses). Or you could just say, "I [Atom] Science!"

Don't forget: If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

Math Geek Babydoll Shirts

Because Girls Love Math and Geek Shirts, Too

Phi by Numbers BabydollOf course ThinkGeek recognizes the female math lovers out there. You calculating ladies can get the first 2,200 or so digits of Phi or about about 4,500 digits of Pi, depending which irrational number you prefer. You can be Plotting for Your Heart Babydollmore constant with 2,251 digits of e by Numbers, instead. Or you can get cute with the Fibonacci Bunnies Babydoll.

Then there is the equation that lets you plot out your heart (shown on the left) and the AutoCAT Babydoll complete with scale. Click on either of the shirts or any of the links here to get your very own.

Engineering: It's Like Math but Louder Ladies' VersionYou, too, can refuse people just like the IT folks with your very own No, I Will Not Do Your Math Babydoll. You could also explain to people just what you think of them by demonstrating just where you think they fall on the bell curve. (Hint: It's well below average.)

Women's Video Game T-Shirts

ThinkGeek Hasn't Forgotten the Girl Gamers

Under Attack BabydollWhether you're and old-school gamer girl wishing for something like the Asteroids shirt to the right and the Zelda shield babydoll or you want something more recent like the Minecraft Creeper shirt and your basic, Called for Help Babydollglow-in-the-dark, X-Box power button tee, ThinkGeek has got you covered. You can get a bit of the closing credits from Portal (There's still science to do, of course) or mix two great games with the Ghostbusters lending Pac Man a helping hand.

If the more obscure is your style, i pwn boys Babydoll Teeyou can laugh along with your geek girl friends at the OMG Pwnies babydoll or declare your independence with a Self-Rescuing Princess tee. Or you can baldly state the truth, you power-gamer, you: "I Pwn Boys!"

You can join the current cupcake trend while sticking close to your gamer roots with the 1upcake babydoll or explain where all of those Tetris pieces come from with the Airdrop women's tee. Click on any of these gamer-girl babydoll shirts or the links here to read more and get your own.

Computer and IT Babydoll Shirts

Who Said the IT Guy Had to Be a Guy?

I am the IT Guy BabydollMake it clear that girls can be computer geeks, too, with your own shirt that reads, "I am the IT guy," or be a little more subtle with the Tech Support Flowchart Babydoll or the Tech Support Staff women's T-shirt.I'm Here Because You Broke Something BabydollNah, forget subtle, you're there because they broke something and you can get the T-shirt to prove it (it's only a click away). Don't forget to warn folks with an I Void Warranties Babydoll, while you're at it. It's only fair.

You can get old-school with the There's no place like 127.0.0.1 BabydollBinary People Babydoll Tee, up to date with the Geek Love Poem or give people a hint with your ruby slippers as shown to the right.

The less-social among you can simply have your shirt Less Than Three Babydollrespond, "No I will not fix your computer," or, even more clearly, "Not Here To Make Friends." You've got a job to do, after all. If you don't want to be mean you can wear the You are Dumb v2.0 Babydoll Tee that insults people in binary instead. Or you can show your love, L337-style, for all your geek friends to see.

General Geek Babydoll Tees

For the Girl Who's All Kinds of Nerd

Define Sometimes a girl just wants to fly her geek flag. Naturally, ThinkGeek offers a pile of babydoll tees that lets women do just that. You can define interesting, as shown to the right, advertise Canned Unicorn Meat (or just detail the meh babydoll teeprime cuts of unicorn) or warn people with the Robot Unicorn Attack tee.

Let others know of your love for ThinkGeek with their mascot, a Timmy the Monkey Tee. For protection you can carry your own Ninja StackZombie Survival Medkit Babydoll or even a Ninja Kitty, complete with throwing star.

Bring your Zombie Survival Kit with you (on the right) or just say, "meep." without attracting the attention of the Totoro Babydoll teeundead. If you're brave you could just ask them to Cuttle Me Babydoll.

Show your love for all things Japanese and geek with the Totoro shirt or a Konnichiwa Robot Babydoll. (This one runs small so be sure to check the sizing.) Heck, show your love in general with the GeeKISSexy Tee or get specific Enough Social Interaction Babydolland proclaim, "I Love My Geek!" You could go the other way entirely, showing your disdain for social interaction, as well.

For you comic fans out there, you can get your very own Wonder Woman Costume or Batgirl Costume as well. You can wear your Melting Rubik's Cube Babydoll, let others know that a coffee refill is required, or just wear your <GEEK> tag proudly.

The Shirt of Ultimate Disambiguation

My Other Favorite ThinkGeek Babydoll

Babydoll of Ultimate DisambiguationYou know you're a geek when this T-shirt makes you laugh every time you wear it, just thinking about its name. It's also a most useful addition to your wardrobe, answering for you those pesky questions nigh everyone seems to have.

"Mom, can I..." No.
"Dear would you..." No.
"I hate to ask, but..." No.
"Would you wash my/make my/cook my/fix my..." No.

It's the least ambiguous word in the English language (and a few others, in fact) and one of the most useful a woman can know. If you'd like your own, just click on it. UPDATE! I got one of these recently and it's finally a T-shirt everyone gets. It's also really soft and fits well. Just make sure you check and believe the sizing charts on the ThinkGeek order pages, particularly with regard to the chest measurement.

Tell Me What You Think

Do You Have a ThinkGeek Babydoll?

Ninja Kitty BabydollI "only" have half a dozen of these women's T-shirts, so far. The Ninja Kitty babydoll to the right (and Ninja Stack shirt from the same company) run small so you really have to pay attention to the sizing listed on the site. The Babe with the Power shirt, on the other hand, runs true to size (and gets lots of looks no matter the audience). If you have similar notes about particular brands or shirts please share them here to help peole order the right size and fly their own geek flags proudly. Thank you!

Okay. Wow. I love the layout of this lens. It just looks terrific. I'd never have thought to lay one out with the images zig.zagged that way (how else would you put that?). Looks great! Excellent job!

I love the "I am the IT guy" t-shirt. Your selection of t-shirts are great for the gal geeks who are ready to proclaim that to the world.

    hey, newbie here.
SO glad to see this post, as my new favorite shirt is the Fibonacci Bunnies babydoll i bought on ThinkGeek well over a year ago. i was too fat for it then, never sent it back and forgot about it. so, thirty or forty pounds later (for a grand total of more than 100 so far, yay!) i stumbled across it, and while i still have 15-20 lbs. to lose, it makes me fee and look better than any other shirt i own (albeit at a 2X, so even these run small).
long story short, i ran back to TG a bought the "soft kitty, warm kitty" babydoll, which is an ENTIRELY different size.
according to TG, sizing varies depending on the shirts, only the ThinkGeek shirts are cut that way. took me a while to figure out (sometimes i'm a dumb bunny) that copy-righted items come in on different blanks, original TG and "bounty program" shirts are printed on the TG tag. now i'm desperately trying to figure out who manufactures the blanks, as TG didn't know!
BTW, how can you not love the TG care tag??
