  • tembrooke May 29, 2012 @ 10:47 am | delete
I've bought a few things online from Amazon (tea and snack bars) but never thought about buying a lot of groceries from them. I'll have to look into it.
  • Atreyusmommy May 27, 2012 @ 10:45 pm | delete
What a great idea! I would love to start buying my groceries online. Thanks for sharing this :)
  • xriotdotbiz May 1, 2012 @ 11:39 am | delete
Online is a great way to find the obscure products local groceries may not. This is great for us rural folk with pretty basic, plain grocery stores.
  • brendajoy Apr 19, 2012 @ 8:09 pm | delete
Wonderful Idea! Wish I had more space for storage, but, alas! I do not
  • brynimagire Mar 24, 2012 @ 10:21 am | delete
    Nice information ! Great lens.
  • flicker Mar 9, 2012 @ 4:22 pm | delete
Nice list of groceries that are available online from Amazon. I sometimes forget the variety of groceries they offer. And the bulk prices are often very good!
  • wilfredpadilla Mar 5, 2012 @ 9:01 pm | delete
    Wow! Thanks for sharing!
  • aliciamaggie54 Mar 4, 2012 @ 7:17 pm | delete
Getting items from Amazon is the way to go. I enjoy the savings:)

i'm afraid that i won't get the best quality and i have to return those goods which are close to expire. perhaps when we are snowed-in, we will shop online. came back to give some blessings for these good ideas.
  • veryirie Feb 24, 2012 @ 11:13 pm | delete
I may have to try buying a few groceries online. Like the idea of ordering enough for free shipping too. It may be possible to split the costs and merchandise with another relative. Thanks for the info. :)
  • 2wice Feb 24, 2012 @ 7:42 pm | delete
I've never even thought about buying groceries online. Maybe canned and boxed goods, but I don't think I'd ever buy fruits or vegtables online. I like to see my produce before buying.
  • CNelson01 Feb 14, 2012 @ 6:03 pm | delete
I've never grocery shopped online...looks like something to explore, although I think I might miss my Monday morning menu making and shopping trip.
  • ShirleySunshine Feb 11, 2012 @ 7:09 pm | delete
I love shopping online, because I'm registered with several Stores and shop with the one which offers the best vouchers! Great Lens!
  • pajnhiaj Jan 4, 2012 @ 11:42 am | delete

  • vendexo Nov 27, 2011 @ 11:40 am | delete
I wonder what the minimum catchment area (in terms of inhabitants) would have to be before stores could offer this, cost effectively?
  • skiesgreen Nov 26, 2011 @ 5:26 pm | delete
Great lens and given me an idea of what to do for an Amazon lens for the Quest, Hugs
  • GayleMcLaughlin Nov 23, 2011 @ 2:21 pm | delete

  • goo2eyes Nov 17, 2011 @ 2:09 pm | delete
if it is snowing heavily outside or raining cats and dogs, online shopping would be ideal.
  • SereneSea Nov 15, 2011 @ 1:40 am | delete
Buying groceries online is going to happen in future, people are short of time and the commuting can also be avoided in the high traffic areas.
  • CatJB Nov 4, 2011 @ 6:44 pm | delete
I love my bulk foods online, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE having them delivered to my door! That's the best part of the whole process!
  • SIALicenceUK Oct 29, 2011 @ 2:31 am | delete

I did not realize that Amazon also sold groceries. I think it's time for me to consider making the switch. Thanks for the heads-up. :)
  • MaryStuart Sep 11, 2011 @ 10:14 am | delete
I had no idea that amazon.com offered this service. This could come in very handy!
  • Donnette Sep 3, 2011 @ 2:53 am | delete
The one kind of shopping I really don't mind doing is groceries. Clothes, shoes or anything else must be in and out QUICKLY.. grocery shopping I can take hours... especially in United Kingdom or USA where you have the most amazing selection of goodies.
  • JohannTheDog Aug 30, 2011 @ 8:53 am | delete
Oh my! Mum is gonna look into this! She hates leaving us at home and going grocery shopping; complete waste of time she says, BOL!
  • TeacherRenee Jul 22, 2011 @ 1:32 pm | delete
It's amazing what amazon.com sells these days! So cool.
  • miaponzo Jun 3, 2011 @ 3:53 pm | delete

    I like the thought!
  • SylviaRolfe Apr 4, 2011 @ 6:50 pm | delete
I never had any idea you could do this with Amazon. I would much rather shop like this, then in the crowded stores around here. Thanks for another great lens.
  • kathysart Mar 25, 2011 @ 1:20 pm | delete
    Great subject!
  • CruiseReady Mar 24, 2011 @ 10:49 am | delete

Can't wait to be buying groceries online- I just love the thought of it. Part of my motivation to work so hard on squidoo and build up that Paypal account. Happy St Patrick's Day- here's a Lucky Leprechaun kiss for this great lens I can't wait to come back and buy from. Many thanks!
  • JoanneOtt Mar 6, 2011 @ 1:51 am | delete
I haven't bought groceries online, but these are good prices, and with gas getting so expensive I think this will become even more popular. It saves time as well.
  • hershel01 Jan 28, 2011 @ 7:31 am | delete
I really like this idea, great lens, thanks.
  • TopMovieSoundtracks Jan 9, 2011 @ 9:00 am | delete
I'm tempted to upgrade to Amazon Prime to save on gas, etc. and with this info. going with groceries and essentials just might be the way to go.
  • darciefrench Jan 7, 2011 @ 9:38 pm | delete
This is great- thanks so much. What a neat gift idea too- to send someone groceries from amazon.
  • ICanCook Nov 8, 2010 @ 9:20 am | delete
I really didn't know that I could get common grocery items so readily at Amazon. Thanks for the info.
  • resabi Oct 18, 2010 @ 11:11 pm | delete
Thanks for this suggestion. I realize this might be very helpful for me to ship food to my daughter and her roommates in college. They eat tons of pasta, for example. And Nutella... Now that I consider it, it might be very useful. Oh! And Halloween candy. Better get on that one fast.
  • Lironah Oct 18, 2010 @ 12:36 am | delete
My dad tried buying groceries online. He did save a lot of money, but found that the produce was sub-par. I recommend buying only things you can predict the sizes of, like boxed and canned goods, and get your fresh vegetables...well, fresh. ;)
  • WriterBuzz Oct 5, 2010 @ 11:55 pm | delete
Very cool lens. Informative and fun. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs Up given.
  • mollywog Oct 2, 2010 @ 1:52 pm | delete
I thought I knew everything there is to know about Amazon, but obviously I was wrong...who knew they had groceries?? Not me! And I hate grocery shopping...guess I'll head over to Amazon and see what I can buy. Thanks!

I like to buy foods and just about everything online. I still do like to shop local, but its hard to argue with the savings and convenience of shopping online. 5* and blessings

Haven't yet bought food from Amazon but will try it for some bulk items. But I discovered they're cheaper for some of our bulk cleaning product/drugstore needs--e.g., vitamins, dishwasher detergent...esp. helpful if you like hard-to-find brands. Nice lens!
  • mgworley Sep 1, 2009 @ 2:08 pm | delete
I use www.bulkhome.com, which uses amazon's grocery service, but only offers the items that qualify for free shipping so you don't wind up owing big shipping costs. It's great!
