Buy Desktop Computer - What You Should Look For?

Before you buy a desktop computer make sure you read through this whole site. One can be confused with all the different types and brand name computer on offer.

I am sure many or if not most of you reading this have heard of the following brands: Dell, HP, ASUS, Acer, Gateway, COMPAQ, eMachines, SONY and many more.

With all those brand names you find yourself a bit confused when looking to buy a desktop computer. Most people tend to buy the more advertised or popular brand name computers.

There is nothing wrong to buy a brand you know of but it is a wise thing to shop around and see which other brand name computers offer more for you money and cheaper. I will try my best to explain what to look for when buying a new desktop computer.

Purpose of Your New Desktop Computer?

computer desktop pcBefore you buy a new desktop you need to figure out what will you use the desktop for. Some people are game enthusiast so they will buy a desktop computer to mostly play games. Some just want it for general purpose.

Some just want a faster, better desktop computer and some want it for business use. Like most consumers, you probably have an idea of how much you want to spend on a new desktop computer.

For general purpose users you can buy a desktop computer for between $500 to $1000 with a dual core or Triple core CPU. These will give you enough power to run all your applications like playing mp3s, watch videos, edit you digital photos and play some of the latest games.
