For me, finding a bargain is the best thing about shopping. (well it is for me)

Finding the highest specification washing machine for the lowest price is an absolute priority .

Times have changed. Many years ago, one would visit several electrical retailers and engage sales staff looking to bump up their commission. From Currys to Comet and then to your specialist electrical retailer, a day looking for a LCD TV could easily result in a number of trips.

Today we can purchase products from our SmartPhones or via the computer at work :) :). If you are like me, you will use the Internet to find the cheapest deals possible. Finding cheap LCD TVs is no different.

I will now give you my secrets to buying a cheap LCD TV.

Google would be an obvious choice for finding a cheap product, but I find it best to research product specification prior to actually looking for the cheapest price. I typically commence that journey at a site I am aware of. Personally I find the big branded stores such as Comet and Currys great for research, but they are not necessarily always the best on price.

After finding the best specification washing machine, I then take my journey to Google to commence the quest for finding the best deal on the model I have selected.

So to recap:

1) Find a product you like at a site you know
2) Search for the model number in Google

I recommend you use Google Shopping to find the most relevant search results and not the standard Google search. The shopping results allow online stores to upload feeds with all their products which allows shoppers to sort through more relevant information.

My biggest tip is to use Google Shopping (Google Product Search)

The image shows how 'Toshiba' appear in Google's shopping search results. These products can be ordered in ascending and descending order allowing you to search for the 'cheapest version'.

Using this system, you will find bargains. In fact Google Shopping saved me a third off the cost price of a new dishwasher recently!

This is not the first time that I have saved significant money using Google Shopping and would strongly advise anyone looking for a product to use this source other than price comparison sites who take a fee from the referral.

1. Use a website you trust and know in order to source a product
2. Once you have selected the model, take the model number and search for it within Google Product Search possibly using words like 'cheap', 'bargain' or 'deal'
3. Study the available offers (including delivery costs)
4. Look at site reviews of the chose vendor (make sure they are legitimate)
5. See if there are discount vouchers available to save you additional money
6. Happy? Then open the purse/wallet and buy!
