Patio covers come in all sorts of different designs such as umbrellas which can be various sizes and normally fit into your patio table. You could buy or build an Arbor which is basically a wood or metal frame which you can have plants and creeping flowers grow up and on to blend it in with the rest of the garden decor.

You could have either a movable patio cover or you could decide to buy a porch awning which attaches to the side of your house, these awnings then just fold in and out depending on when you want to use them they do not take up much room and make a perfect entertaining area when it is raining or shelter when it is very hot and sunny. Other ideas for your patio are maybe a gazebo these too can be temporary or permanent depending on what type you want to have.

Patio covers allow you to entertain people on your patio even when it is very hot or the weather is not too good and it is raining. They will protect people and patio furniture from the elements and still allow you to use the patio
