The best times were in the winter as the sky was clear and there was a lot more to see but with the cold you could only stay outside for a short time.
I still remember being able to see the rings of Saturn (barely) with that little scope :)
Since then I have always had an interest in the stars and space and one day stumbled on this site that actually sells you a star of your own!
