The 4 Best Vacuums for Allergys and Pet Hair

Vacuums for Allergys
There are many vacuum cleaners on the market that make claims of being great for collecting pet hairs or claim to being good for use by people with allergies, that simply don't do the job. I myself have a dust allergy that can cause me to be unable to stop sneezing and have itchy eyes. My son has asthma aswell, so we always purchase the vacuums certified by the Allergy and Asthma foundation. I have found the Dyson provides the best allergy free cleaning without breaking the budget.
The difference between having a good Vacuum Cleaner is that one that performs well will save you time, physical labour and of course stress. Let's face it any Housewife or Mother is under enough stress as it is. There is nothing worse than having to go over and over the same crumb with your Vacuum and then even have to bend down and pick it up!
You don't have to spend a fortune now to get a Vacuum Cleaner that will do the job well.
Dyson DC17
The Dyson DC17 is a bagless vacuum and the clear bin allows you to see when it is ready for emptying. Any air that leaves the vacuum has upto 150 times less bacteria and mold than normal breathing air because of the lifetime HEPA filter.
**The Dyson DC17 has been certified as being 'asthma friendly' by the Asthma and Allergy foundation.**
Included is a free carpet-care kit which will leave your carpets like new. 5 YEAR WARRANTY.

Things to Consider.......
Sorry but you do Get What you Pay For

The size and weight of the Vacuum is important, go for a model that is quite light to move around.
The brand of the vacuum says a lot about the quality - unfortunately the saying 'you get what you pay for' is correct when purchasing a Vacuum. Go for a well known brand. I have found that with Dyson you can't go wrong.
Tools and attachments - quality of Hepa Filter, brushes that attach to hose, power cord storage etc.
The length of the power cord is also important - you don't want to have to unplug and plug every 10 seconds when going around the house.

So Much More Than a Handheld Vacuum.....
Do You Have Allergies?
One of the great things now for anybody with asthma or a dust mite allergy (like me) is that now there are Vacuum Cleaners out there that do not aggrevate your allergies.
The CFM or airflow is one of the most important things to consider when purchasing a Vacuum that will not aggravate your allergies. The greater the airflow there is, the faster the allergens will be pulled out of the carpet. Another important thing to look at is the Hepa Filter. There are 2 sorts of Hepa Filter. There are those that appear to look like folded paper - these will trap a percentage of the dust and dirt within the folds, but some will escape. The best type of Hepa Filter is one that is going to trap over 90% of dust and dirt - these ones do not appear like folds of paper, instead they appear like a sheet within a plastic case.
I remember before I knew about these types of Vacuums, every time I used to switch on my cheap (cant remember make - but cheap and nasty - bought by my husband - someone who doesnt hoover often) vacuum a big cloud of dust would fire out of it. This started my allergy off before I even started! Is anyone relating to this?

I didn't try Dyson ever, but will not exchange my Rainbow vacuum for anything else, except maybe, for newer model. I bought a Rainbow about 11 years ago and it still works like the first day I had it.

The Dyson DC31 Handheld Vacuum
Takes Handheld Vacuums to Another Level.....
The History of Dyson.....
It all started in 1978.....
Back in 1978 whilst vacuuming, James Dyson took a closer look at his vacuum cleaner and realised that it was always losing suction power. The dust would quickly block the airflow and clog the bag, causing suction to suffer. James Dyson loved to make things work better, so he set to work and 5 years later, the worlds first bagless cyclonic vacuum was here.
James Dyson then offered out his new creation to major manufacturers. Can you believe that they turned him down ? Well, more fool them because now his products have made sales greater than $10 billion worldwide.

- Some very good advice about vacuum cleaners. I also like the cleaners that do not further escalate dust mite allergies.
