Space Ranger Check In

When Toy Story was released, my oldest son was a few months shy of 3 years old (he's now 15!) and the ONLY movie he'd watch was Toy Story. He was fascinated by Buzz Lightyear and, as I watched the movie with him countless times, so was I. First, I'll watch any movie where Tom Hanks is involved. It could be a blank screen and Tom Hank's voice in the background and I'd think it was the best movie ever. I also think Tim Allen was brilliant in Home Improvement and he's a wonderful comedy actor.

I spent all of November and December of 1995 hunting down a Buzz Lightyear figure (you know the one that stood about a foot tall?) for my son for Christmas. My parents finally found one in their area, 3500 miles away, and we managed to get it to my son just in time. What parents won't do for their kids! Now my youngest is 5 and with the third installment due shortly, I see another Buzz Lightyear purchase in my future.
