First Things First
Operation Christmas Child
Learn more about the work of this ministry part of Samaritan's Purse run by Franklin Graham. Also a great way to recycle shoe boxes and bless a child at the same time.
This store provides clothing with a message. Eliot - 99 Balloons
To God be the Glory
99 Balloons
Downloads and DVDs are available at http://www.ignitermedia.com. Eliot was born with an undeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it and DNA that placed faulty information into each and every cell of his body. However, that could not stop the living God from proclaiming Himself through this boy who never uttered a word. Check out www.ninetynineballoons.com for more information about Eliot.

A Wife
I married my husband in March 1986 and much of my bio's first paragraph could pertain to him as well except it would be the male counterparts. His trades include, photography (received an AA in this at school), trains, firearms, history, gold fever, computers and he can fix just about anything. He took apart our daughter's 1 yr old expensive flat iron when it quit working, was able to fix it, keeping our $75 dollar investment alive. It's nice having a Boy Scout husband around. As a homeschooling family, we have lived on one income for most of our married life in an expensive part of the country, Southern Califonia. I have been able to help out with that income in a variety of ways over the years. Currently we manage apartments which means no rent. Other ways of helping have been to try and live frugally. One of the choices I made when the time came that I could justify the need for a cell phone was to buy a simple prepay plan. I chose Tracfone and last year was able to by a $149.00 card with 800 min an they lasted the whole year; that's $12.50 per mo. This year I will probably have to add more time before the year is out. We got my oldest a Tracfone when she started driving. Since she's not a phone person to begin with, (almost not worth her having a phone, she rarely has it on) we're able to get away with $80.00 per year for her, which works out to $6.70 per month. So, for a little less than $20.00 per month we each have a phone for emergencies and real needs.
Calendars to Keep Order in Our Home
I love my new calendar

A Mom And A Daughter
Or should that be daughter and mom in the order they occurred.
Soon I hope to have a lens dealing with dementia. This is what the daughter side of me is dealing with right now.As a mom, my daughters especially my youngest enjoy humor and interesting things on the internet. Much of what's The Wow! & Merry Heart lens came from them or emails.
I'm at the stage of motherhood when my peers are sending their kids to college, thus the Moving on Campus lens.
As a new member of Rocket Moms I've completed my first assignment, Clutter Free Gifts for Teachers and Others.

A Merry Heart is Like a Medicine
-
The NIV version of Proverbs 17:22 says "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." As my youngest was showing me some funny videos she found on YouTube the other day I was reminded of this verse. She likes to find fu...
Homeschooling
All parents homeschool to some degree. What we example at home, whether for a few hours a day or all day, we are teaching it to our children. We homeschooled our two girls from the beginning and I love to encourage new homeschoolers on their journey. My oldest is attending a community college, and my youngest is finishing up her junior year of high school.-

Shoes for W I D E feet
-
I do, in fact I used to think I was a size 8 in ladies. I don't know when I figured it out, but it turns out that I'm only a 7 to 7 1/2 double wide, I was buying the larger size, as sometimes it gave me more width. Find wide shoes at a reasonable pri...
