I am JaguarJulieBuys and I am a BzzAgent who believes in the power of word of mouth marketing!

I guess you could say "Jaguar Julie" is my brand which is primarily marketed online.  I chose this name when the Jacksonville Jaguars first hit town!  As a supporter of Mark Brunell, our former quarterback, I sold his NFL, Premium Collection, Limited Treasures collectible bear through my eCrater store JaguarJulieBuys and later donated hundreds of them to his local charity which benefits children.

In October 2004, I launched my own company, Jaguar Julie Designs.  As CEO, I'm a marketing consultant, style fashionista, online seller, and website designer.  In 2007, I joined a start-up company as their chief marketing person.

P.S. Much of my online marketing can be credited to the influence of Seth Godin, the guru of Word of Mouth Marketing!

P.P.S. Would you believe??? This WAS my very first Squidoo lens originally created on 03/21/2006.

2008 Giant Squid of the Year

Thanks to all of my supporters who voted -- I am honored to be the Giant Squid of the Year for 2008.

I'm also a Squidoo Lensmaster ... Thanks to BzzAgent, I was introduced to Squidoo the end of March 2006. It's impossible to put into words just how great and fun it is to work with Squidoo. Please take some time to check out my other lenses!

It's as though I was a busy bee buzzing around the Squidoo beehive! I was voraciously--is that the right word to use--working to create my 100th lens! And, whew, I do believe I created that magical 100th lens on September 1, 2007.

Thank you Squidoo! On September 19th, I was honored to hear that I had been chosen to join the Giant Squids, Squidoo's elite squad of the best and most prolific lensmasters on Squidoo, and that I was able to exceed the challenge by creating over 100 lenses to be a member of the Giant Squids 100 Club!

On March 4, 2008 I earned my angel wings becoming a Squid Angel -- one of the highest honors. My wings were retired on October 27, 2008.

What an awesome honor to have my Jaguar Julie Lensography featured as LOTD! One of my Squidoo giant friends mentioned that this was a first for Squidoo; i.e., to have a lensography as LOTD. Thank you Squidoo!

Yep, I'm STILL a BzzAgent

Although I don't have much time what with Squidoo

Hmmm, a BzzAgent you say? ... Pssst, can we talk? Yes, I'm a "BzzAgent" who is a "marketeer" not to be confused with "musketeer" or "mousketeer." I'm sure you've heard about "location, location, location." Well, what I'm all about is "marketing, marketing, marketing." And, of course, "Bzz, Bzz, Bzz!"

I've been a BzzAgent for over 5 years. So, what the heck is a BzzAgent anyway? I'm an "agent" participating actively in the Word-of-Mouth revolution ... "Where People Own Marketing."

The official word on this ... "In the past few years, BzzAgents and other word-of-mouth advocates have proven that honest opinions are more powerful than interruptive marketing messages ... Members of the BzzAgent network are making history by participating in the most important 'reality marketing' experiment ever conducted ... By Bzzing, we're all changing the rules of the game. Word-of-mouth has long been considered the most effective form of connecting people to products, but, until now, nobody has really captured its essence and power."

Seth Godin, the Squidoo King ...

I've devoted a lens specifically to Seth Godin, entitled Squidoo King.

Seth Godin (born July 10, 1960) is an American author of business books and a popular speaker with appearances at Google, TED and a number of charities. Godin popularized the topic of permission marketing.

Seth Godin Featured Lens

I'm a trend SPOTTER! -wink- -wink-

Take it from me!

Those who know me would say that I have "a passion for fashion!" With way too many years of fashionable experience to count, I've developed an inherent ability to spot [no pun intended!] a trend in the making.

With a bit of intuition and some psychic capability, heck I'm Hungarian after all, you'll find me recommending and wearing styles well before they hit the shelves and streets! Perhaps some of my talents come from my heritage of more than four generations of designing women and men who have passed on those designer genes?

My Bookshelf

You'll find an eclectic collection of authors' books on my personal bookshelf.

My Favorite Designer Brands!

In my opinion, you can tell a lot about a person's sense of style by their favorite designers. I've been told that my style is very European Chic! Over the past couple of years, I've found that my tastes have become more refined; i.e., I'm more picky!

Fan of Ricky Martin

OK, I must admit that I am a BIG FAN of that hotty, Ricky Martin.

In September 2005, I received a request through Sony/Columbia Records to get the word out about Ricky Martin's new video which premiered the week of October 3, 2005, at Yahoo Launch.

Hey, I resemble Ricky Martin !

Check out MyHeritage.com for yourself!

Recently, while listening to a local NBC affiliate morning news program, I heard about the website, MyHeritage.com. You can sign up to be a member quickly and then upload photos of yourself to discover what celebrities you resemble. After the face recognition program captures your facial characteristics, it searches its database and matches it to celebrities.

Well, this sounded like fun to me, so I took a little break from my normal routine and gave the website a try. It tickles me that Ricky Martin is one of my matches, at 52%, as I have been one of his fans for quite some time.

I was a major style fashionista at Stylehive

Bzz Bzz Bzz

On May 2, 2006, I posted my first bookmark to Stylehive after I received an email invitation to join and participate in their first contest to win a Botkier handbag.

By September, 2007, I had bookmarked over 30,000 stylish items to Stylehive. I'd say that my experience there had been a super interesting, having the opportunity to see many enhancements to the hive throughout the course of the first year+.

Stylehive Contest: Most New Followers

Prize: Gump's $600 Gift Certificate

In March 2007, Stylehive ran another of their fine contests for members to bring in the most followers within a specific time period.

Well, you tell me there's a contest, and you don't have to say anything more! I was on it like white on rice. In fact my friends said they would pay me to leave them alone. And, they also said instead of paying me in my new position as chief marketing guru and wearer of many hats, they're going to have contests for me.

I'm personally curious just how many new members and followers Stylehive attracted for this contest as the competition was pretty hot and heavy. It's been a couple of months since that contest and I've still not redeemed my gift certificates. I'm having the most difficult time trying to decide what to get.

Check out Gumps for yourself! You'll see what I'm talking about. I think their pearl collection is awesome.

On September 1, 2007, I received my prizes--a beautiful silk kimono, pearl box chain necklace, pearl and diamond earrings, and Robert Held confetti heart paperweight. I must confess that all of these items are spectacular as was the WRAPPING of each item! You can't beat Gump's!

Stylehive Contest: Gadgets

Prize: VK2020 Cellphone

Stylehive's second contest was for a VK2020 cellphone, a credit card-sized phone with integrated Bluetooth, MP3 player and 128mb internal memory, courtesy of Dynamism.com. This prize included unlimited toll-free tech support and a one-year Fedex Rescue Service warranty.

The contest ran June 15-30, 2006. Yes, I competed in this contest as well! Throughout the 2 weeks that the contest ran, I bookmarked some 682 gadgets. Now, let me tell you that was quite a feat finding this many "interesting" items!

I gifted this VK2020 to a friend who got about ONE YEAR of enjoyment out of the phone. That technology, how it changes so quickly!

Stylehive Contest: Handbag

Botkier Large Fan Hobo

In order for me to report on the social phenomena of "competing online," well--I had to compete online--to get into the thick of it.

Stylehive's first contest was for a Botkier Large Fan Hobo in Hazelnut from RevolveClothing.com, with a retail value of $695.00. The contest ran through May 2006.

I competed to win this handbag as I've never owned such an expensive purse and have never had the pleasure of a Botkier. Well, I didn't win that handbag.

Life's Goals

I always wished that I would live in a warmer climate than Cleveland, Ohio. So, I made it happen! It took me a little while to get to Jacksonville, but I made it.

My life's dreams, aspirations, and goals have been pretty simple: to be happy, achieve constant peace of mind and to make enough money to pay the bills!

Be Fashionable! Be Unique! Be the best that YOU can be! We're all individuals, truly unique in our interests and abilities. Treat others as you would have them treat you!

Treat trust as your most valuable asset--protect it and nurture it above all else.
