When you search the internet for work at home opportunities you can easily find yourself inundated with tons of useless information and even a lot of outright scams. How DO you work from home?
This is the first thing to really think about. A mistake most people make is to google "work at home" and then go from there.
It really isn't that easy. Try it.. you will find scam after scam and scheme upon scheme.
The first thing to consider is whether you want a job or a business.
Some jobs include, telemarketing, writing, blogging, sales, and customer support. There are companies that hire for these positions, and yes there are even real data entry positions. The problem is that the competition is fierce. Still, it doesn't hurt to apply and keep trying!
The second option is your own business. You can sell wares at auction sites or craigslist. You might want to try your hand at freelance writing or blogging. You could take a shot at affiliate marketing and of course there are many direct sales companies like Avon and Pampered Chef.
If these things don't appeal to you, there are always the standbys, start a daycare, start a freelance typing job from home, etc.

Don't waste your money on schemes and scams.
I spend a lot of time and energy signing up for "Work at Home" opportunities that sound great. I've been doing this long enough that I don't have to waste money to find out something is a scheme.
I've discovered over the years that there are some "keywords" to watch out for.
Any job that that wants you to be a middle man and accept payments for them. Words to watch out for: "deduct your pay and send us the rest", "process payments".
Data entry jobs: "We have hundreds of companies", "Review websites". "No esperience needed", "Start today", "Make thousands of dollars a month". (This list will grow)
