The description of Cabbage Soup Diet fascinated me into trying it. This is one of a few diets who promote eating for weight loss!

This diet is geared to short term weight loss. Good for people who want to chase off those last few pounds before summer or prom nites. This diet is low in fat but extremely high in fiber. And cabbage is a negative calorie ingredient. Your body need a lot of calories to digest cabbage compared to the calories that cabbage provides.

Cabbage Soup Diet is a fad diet which relies heavily on cabbage soup to lose weight. The basic principle is that cabbage, being negative calories ingredient, will burn off the calories inside your body through eating. Negative calories means that the calories contained inside partciular foods are so low that your body will need more calories to digest it.

-6 large green onions
-2 green peppers
-2 cans of tomatoes (diced)
-3 Carrots
-10 oz Mushrooms
-1 cup of celery
-half a head of cabbage
-1 package Lipton soup mix
-Salt, pepper and oregano

Instructions:

Mix all the ingredients with water in a large kettle.
Heat and boil them until all ingredietns are tender (approximately 90 minutes). Put the tomatoes and seasonings afterwards.
