2009 Cadillac CTS-V 556 HORSEPOWER!

Cadillac has lost its mind....actually I applaud them for not going down without a fight. While it seems that the bottom is falling out of GM and Cadillac stocks; the company has decided to at least put up one more fight! And the boxer they have come up with is in stark contrast to their usually serving. The new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V is an ABSOLUTE TERROR.

Armed with a Supercharged V-8 engine based on the new Corvette ZR-1 engine; this caddy will produce 556hp and 551 lb-ft. of torque! Thats more than most Ferarri's, Lamborghini's, and Porsche's; at a fraction of the cost. In fact the CTS-V's main competitors will be the high end luxury offerings from BMW, Audi, and Mercedes.

The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V should have a base price of right under $60,000 which will make it almost $25k less than the BMW and Mercedes offerings.

The BMW M5 comes in at $85,000 and has 500 hp.
The Mercedes E63 AMG has a price tag of $85,000 also and produces 507hp.
The lowly Audi RS4 starts at $66,000 but only produces 420hp.

So more horsepower (much more) for less money....you can't go wrong with the Cadillac. But this car is not just a straight line sedan. After posting the fastest time at the Nurburg Ring (a famed track in Germany)for any production sedan; the automotive world has suddenly taken notice. Besides the MONSTER engine, the CTS-V comes equipped with huge Six-Piston Brembo Brakes, a 6-speed transmission from the Vette, and georgous Recaro Seats. All this for under $60k....did I mention 556 horsepower.
