Coolcat t-shirts

Ah... the wonder of the Internet! CoolCat t-shirts is a culmination of all of my skills as a graphic designer, web developer, online money maker and t-shirt lover. My name's Andrew, and I'm a full-time work at home Dad.

Ever since I can remember, I've been in love with t-shirts. If you could unplug my brain and shake out its contents, you'd probably find thousands of t-shirt designs that have turned me on over the years! Yes I'm a true blue t-shirt lover and I've sure you ARE too.

So... here's a little bit of (yawn) background info about CoolCat t-shirts. Five years ago, when the company I worked for went down the toilet, my wife and I started a small home based food delivery business. At the same time, I started a network of websites. Together, they bring in more than a nice income, but there was always one thing that I wanted to do - to have my VERY own t-shirt store!

You see, even as a kid, I used to fool around with basic t-shirt printing - using wood block shapes and even cut fruit, dipping them in paint and sploshing them on my old tees. When I became a teen, I learnt the basic art of silk screening. I graduated to building my own silk screen blocks and mixing my own shades of dye. The master designer in me was aching to get out! After graduating from high school, I started a small t-shirt printing business with a partner. After 4 years, we had to close shop because my partner wanted to pull out and she was the one with the funding and the one running the biz. My t-shirt dreams had to be put on hold.

Twenty years later, I discovered a whole new way of creating t-shirts without even getting my hands dirty or getting stoned on the smell of ink and dye! Cafepress has unleashed the creative beast in me. I am totally in love with this method of producing t-shirt designs and selling them on the internet.

CoolCat t-shirts is the product of me coming full circle. It's also part of my long term business strategy - to diversify, diversify, diversify - something I believe every work-at-home parent MUST consider. After running a home based food delivery business and my network of sites, CoolCat t-shirts is my "brick and mortar" business and completes my business jigsaw.

Now THIS, I can relate to. CoolCat t-shirts run by a geeky, nerdy, fun loving, code-loving work at home Dad. My wife says I love my computer more than I love her. That's not true... I only love my computer because it doesn't argue with me...
