Rescued dogs are the best dogs

Everyone wants a puppy!  But for most people a puppy is not the best choice.  Most people will leave the puppy alone for 8-10 hours while they work, then again for 8-10 hours while they sleep. Then they have cooking, cleaning, and other parts of their daily life leaving very little time for the puppy.  So most people entirely lose the so-called advantage of starting with a puppy.  Starting with a more mature dog will give you every bit as good a bond as starting with a puppy, and often much better.  And mature dogs are typically much better with children than puppies. So if you are thinking about getting a dog - think DOG and adopt one today.
