Cafe Press Pantry - Cooking Up New Uses for the Module

CafePress.com is an online marketplace that offers sellers complete e-commerce services to independently create and sell a wide variety of products, and offers buyers unique merchandise across virtually every topic. So what's that mean?

It means you can set up a shop at NO CHARGE, and apply graphics that you design, to dozens of products - like T-shirts, sweatshirts, coffee mugs or calendars. If you like the process and want to carry several designs, you can set up a "Premium" Shop for a minimal monthly fee.

You upload your image, select a product (let's say, a white T-shirt) and choose how much profit you would like to make on this item.

Cafe Press has all of the merchandise. When someone visits your shop, likes your design, and purchases the white T-shirt with the design you uploaded, Cafe Press will accept their payment, apply the image to the white T-shirt, and ships it to the customer!

But I'm not an artist!
You don't have to be! You can make designs that are just text - HALF of the sales at Cafe Press are items that are text only images!

I don't know how to make text as an image.
You can make money from Cafe Press even if you have NO products of your own! They have a terrific affiliate program, that lets you advertise OTHER shopkeeper's products, and YOU earn a commission when an item you displayed is sold!

How do I use the Cafe Press Module?
I'll show you!

Let's get cookin'!

To add the Cafe Press module to your Lens, go to the top of the page where it says, "Add Modules".

Click on the "Moneymakers" tab and find Cafe Press. Or go to the A-Z section and select letter "C", then click on the Cafe Press module.

Click "Add," then go to "Preview". There is a simple table showing the order of your modules, and you can drag the Cafe Press module up to the spot in your lineup where you would like it. Then click "Save". This will take you back to your workshop area.

If you forget to move the module up using "Preview," and just hit "Save" instead, you will be returned to your workshop area where you see the module lineup, and the Cafe Press module will be at the very bottom.

Don't panic! You can toggle it up with the orange up arrow, until it is where you would like it

Click on the orange Edit button and the module will open.

Mix well. (Scatter "Moneymaker" modules in amongst your other modules)

After you fill in a title, subtitle and description for your module, you will see a selector box with three options:

*LET CAFEPRESS PICK
A live, automatically updated display of CafePress products, based on your tags.

*LET ME PICK
Choose specific products you want to show on your lens.

*PROMOTE A SHOP
Promote a specific shop (yours or a friend's)

If your have your own Cafe Press shop that carries items matching the theme, you can select products from your own shop.

Or you can choose items from the Marketplace. You can visit Cafe Press ahead of time to select the items you would like to include, or a shopkeeper you would like to feature.

Write down the:
CafePress product URL or ID (1 per line)
URL example: http://www.cafepress.com/squidswag.48803754
Product ID example: 48803754

Or you can use the module's built-in selector based on your preference by search term.

For your display options, select all of the check boxes and update frequency of one day. If you don't like the way this looks, you can always edit it later.
