I'm the proud owner of several businesses which allow me to be creative and challenged. Let's just say I stay super busy all the time, but I love it!! My business world consists of writing, web design, metaphysical products, all things pink, and crafting crochet bags.

My daily routine

Coffee first! Feed the cat second. Then over to the pc to begin my work for the day. Time flies and I usually only pay attention to it when its early evening. By then I'm starving and ready for dinner! Then back to the pc for a last bit of work, before I spend the final hours of the day relaxing by playing pc games (mostly casual gaming in Facebook), reading, or hanging with my hubby.

When I'm not working, I putter around the house, do my workouts, run errands, and hit the Hillsboro Canal or the Everglades with hubby to get in some fishing!

My tips for keeping a good work-life balance from home

Am I sane for having all these businesses? *grin* That's the question of the year! Do take time to be with those you love. Meditate. Eat healthy. Get out for a bit of exercise. Listen to music. And laugh--its the universal remedy for everything. Anyhow, its terribly stressful to take everything too seriously. Oh yes, and be gentle with yourself and take care of yourself. That self-compassion will trickle out into the world!

Programs & Tools I Use

what's in my toolbox

Use the best tool for the job! ;)Currently, I use Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression Web for my web pages, Artisteer for WordPress templates, and PaintShopPro for my graphics. At times I'll do a bit of editing in good ole Notepad.

For FTP I use the free version of CoreFTP.

I keep track of my product inventory and supplies inventory with an Excel spreadsheet.

TweetLater and TweetGlide for enhancing my Twitter experience.

Search engine: Google (sorry Bing)

Browser of choice: Firefox (love the Personas!)

Email: Thunderbird

Instant Messengers: Skype and Windows Live Messenger

Music player: Rhapsody

Music composition (did I mention I compose music?? *g*): Magix Music Maker

I think at times it can be too isolating. That's where a strong social and family network is great as a resource to banish any feelings of isolation. Get out once in a while! It'll do you good.
