What a fun idea, to have a cake pull at a wedding. I'd not heard of this before.

Sounds like a swell idea, very novel and surely every couple would love an idea that would be different from all those they have already come across. Wedding are not cheap anymore but you can still find cheap wedding rings if you are a smart shopper.

A cake pull sounds a really novel idea to me and I know that many couples are looking for a unique twist to their day. Good lens.

Amazing idea, it's just now that I have heard about cake pull. This is a really nice and exciting idea which someone can do in his or her wedding. The ribbons for the cake pull can definitely become pretty wedding cake accessories.

Wow never heard of that, very interesting.

Glad that no cakes were harmed for this page! My daughter experienced a "cake pull" at a bridesmaid's luncheon.

This is a new concept to me, but rather charming. I have a couple weddings to go to this summer, lets see what happens.

Just stop by to see what "cake pull" was. Informative lens and great idea. Never heard of this!

Awww! I was envisioning monster trucks and cake flying everywhere and thinking, "YEAH! THAT'S a wedding I want to go to!"

I guess the ribbon thing is smarter than the old style of just putting the charms in the food and good luck to ya. Don't choke!

We did this at our daughter's Bridesmaids Luncheon and the girls had such fun with the Cake Pull. It was not as popular back then and we had a time finding the charms and explaining everything to the person making the cake but it turned out great.

You might want to put your link list onto moderation. It's being attacked by spammers. :( Spoiling an otherwise great lens. :)

Fun idea to do this before getting marries. Love the video and what happens to the cake when it is cut wedding favors
  • Senora_M Nov 14, 2010 @ 9:09 pm | delete
I did this before I got married and got a wishing well. It was right when I had broken up with my fiance and just before I met my (now) husband (although we didn't date for MANY years after that). :)

This is such a fun idea and new to me, I just had to watch the video--no real harm comes to the cake until it is cut, cool!

What a great idea and sadly I have never heard of it either. My son just got married this past year and it would have been so much fun to incorporate this into the wedding. Oh well, one down and one to go!! Will keep this idea in the back of my mind until darling daughter decides to get married! Thanks for the idea!!

See now I sure am glad I asked what was up on your website awhile back. Otherwise we might not be seeing all this great article and interesting stuff your very capable of doing and quite well. After reading your lens and blog I know that had to be hard not to have a space to write content. Especially after seeing all this come out of your. Your writing is so fun to read. Nice job!
