Things To Do
Fuerteventura is situated just off the coast of Africa and is the second largest of the Canary Islands. With over 3000 hours of sunshine per year and some of the most beautiful beaches in the Canaries, Fuerteventura is definitely an island to be discovered!Caleta de Fuste (or sometimes known as Costs Caleta or Calketa de Fuste!) is on the East Coast of the island and only a 10 minute drive from the airport. Plenty of Water Sports to be found, two Golf Courses, Mini Golf, Childrens Play Parks, Trike Rides and much more.
In the South you can find the ''Oasis Park'' Zoo and Cactus park which is well worth a day out. A drive to Jandia which is famous for its picturesque beaches is recommended.
Go Karting can be found in both Puerto del Rosario and Gran Tarajal.
Another popular resort of Fuerteventura is Corralejo, which is in the North. There is a new WaterPark here with Theme Park next door.
Other places well worth a visit include El Cotillo, Morro Jable, Gran Tarajal and Betancuria.
Hiring a car is a must of you'd like to explore the island properly. Plenty of secluded beaches can be found and village tapa's bars offer some of the best food on the island.

Feedback From Some Caleta Visitors!
It was our first visit to the island of Fuerteventura after visiting several other Canary Islands over the years. We were presently surprised! After the hustle and bustle of Tenerife we found Fuerteventura and the resort of Caleta de Fuste very relaxed. There were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and the beach was only a short walk from where we were staying. Overall a very relaxing week. We will definitely be back!

After booking our holiday we stumbled accross caletalive.org on the net. We found the site very informative and some of our best nights (and early mornings!) were spent in one or two of the advertised bars! Thanks for a great site. Hopefully e will be back!

- Hi there! I lived on Fuerteventura for some years. Visited often Caleta de Fuste because of the shops and Pieros Café. The service here is excellent!
