St. Nicholas College of London teaches English to its students using the Callan Method. After 2 or 3 months of every-day lessons students, using callan method, have basic commands of spoken and written English and can easily understand the most of the language.

The aim of the method is to get students actively involved in the learning process by asking a range of questions that students should give an answer to. Students grasp the knowledge of grammar and build their vocabulary step by step and do not get distracted by too many complexities. It all looks like English history inside as the interior was redecorated to the Georgian style with Chandeliers and oak floor.It is easy to find the college as it is in the heart of Mayfair on the famous Curzon Street. The nearest underground station is Green Park. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace are just 10 minutes walk away from the school.

Who can benefit from the Method
Another positive moment of the Method is that it is perfectly suitable for students of any age, any nationality and can bring amazing results both with young and elderly students. It is also suitable for students of any cultural background and profession, from sales assistant in shop to professor at university. Students can learn English using the Method for different purposes such as business, science, tourism, technology, commerce or any other industry. The Callan Method does not require any equipment such as language laboratories, desks or blackboards. There is no need to buy additional books. The Method offers flexible timetable allowing student to choose any number of hours and day of the week he wishes to study. It is structured in a way that gives a chance to students to start, stop and restart the course any time students want. Not a moment's silence!
There should not be a moment's silence in the lesson. The teacher and students should be speaking every second. There should be a minimum of 210 words a minute spoken in the air by a sombination of teacher and students, that is, a total of 12,600 words spinning around in the room per hour.

This level of English enables him to hold a simple conversation and write a simple letter in English.
