Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

For the ultimate high of combat, you must have Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Once you load this into your Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or Windows, you are transported into a stunning realistic setting as a first-person shooter.

The eight installment moved away from the World War II scenes into the world of modern combat. Rated "M" for mature viewers, Call of Duty is for serious combat fans, not the faint of heart.

Call of Duty isn't your grandfather's war anymore. It's today's warfare - and you're dealing with more complex plotlines in which you don't know the outcome. You might be a soldier with the US 1st Force Recon or the British 22nd SAS Regiment.

If you prefer flying, you can be an AC-130 Gunship gunner or maintain air support piloting an AH-1 Super Cobra helicopter. Not only do you choose your role, but you can also control other soldiers in the battle.

You get to move the action between heavy fire fights to slower yet highly charged battles.  To answer the Call of Duty, you get prime weaponry such as grenade launchers, night vision goggles, submachine guns with silencers and FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missiles

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is modern warfare only for the serious virtual soldier.

Call of Duty Comes With 9 Different Game Modes!

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one warfare game that won't get old!

In fact, you'll come back to it over and over just to try out all the game mode options. You can begin with the free-for-all mode and see what happens when it's raw survival.

Then set out on a Search and Destroy mission where defenders have to find and neutralize a bomb planted by the attackers. If the bomb explodes or a team member is killed, the round ends.

Team work is critical in Call of Duty just as it is in combat. You can set up a Team Objective for Search and destroy or Team Tactical with a small team death-match. Some modes allow re-spawning and some don't.

You can take a breather by settling back for an easier assignment like Capture the Flag and bring it back to your base camp. If you choose Domination, you have to go after several flags that appear randomly around the battle map. The object is to capture the most flags before time runs out.

In any battle, communication is a crucial lifeline. Set your game mode for Headquarters and go after a radio that spawns in mysterious locations on the map. Once you capture the radio, you have to defend it against the opposing team's effort to destroy it.

At the end of the time limit or after the attackers destroy your radio, then a new radio spawns and the hunt is on again. Game mode is virtually endless excitement in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare!

How Will You Be Playing Call of Duty 4?

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is open to almost any dedicated gamers, playing on Windows, XBox 360, or PlayStation 3. You can start as one of the playable characters: Lieutenant Price, Sergeant MacTavish or Sergeant Jackson.

You begin deeply involved in a plot that involves a stolen nuclear weapon, a coup and flashbacks to another mission 15 years ago in Chernobyl. As you play, you find that the past events continue to plague the present battles with simmering feuds, unsettle scores and old enemies returning in other forms.

Signing on for Call of Duty in a multiplayer mode, you enter a system with five preset classes of Assault, Spec Ops, Light Machine Gunner, Demolitions, and Sniper class. The weapons and perks are already assigned to the users.

Another way to play is to let users create custom weapons loading and choose three perks for each infantryman. Once you kill enough opponents to earn the first level of Experience Points (XP), the user is promoted to Private (Level 4) and the class is unlocked.

The more you play to earn Experience Points, the sooner you rise in rank and new modes open to you. Reach 65XP and you get into the Prestige Mode. You have several choices for trading in rake to start again up to ten times.

Each time, you can save your custom classes for use in a multiplayer battle.
