How Does Calorie Shifting Work?

What Is Calorie Shifting?
It is a diet that is developed specifically for people with low metabolism rate. The idea behind the diet is to confuse and further stimulate the body to increase the metabolism rate.

How Does It Increase One's Metabolism Rate?
According to the Shifting Calories Theory, our body is designed in such a way that it will follow a trend. Therefore, if we have a certain eating trend, it will produce sufficient hormones to stimulate our body to digest those foods. Different kinds of calories will need different hormones to start the digestion button.

However, if we keep adjusting our meals by consuming different types of calories, our body will be unable to determine a specific trend. As a result, it will trickle our "survival instinct button" and produce every hormone so that our body will have enough energy to survive.

Why Most Diet Plans Failed?
According to the official website, if you have low metabolism rate, diet plans like Low Calorie, Low Fat and Low Carb will not work. This is because when you restrict your consumption, your body system will shut down and hence reduce your metabolism rate. It is not a rare scene to see people lamenting that their diets failed.

Moreover, when your body starts to see a particular trend in your diet (for example low fat), you body will adjust to that trend. As a result, you will receive minimum and short term result for the diet plan.

Why Is Calorie Shifting More Effective? 

I have tried Low Fat diet before I switched to Calorie Shifting diet. However, I would say that Calorie Shifting works many times better than other conventional diets.

Cure The Root Problem, Not The Superficial Problem
This diet works by tackling the root problem which is low metabolism rate. Higher metabolism rate will eventually burn the extra fat in our body even when we are doing our daily chores.

On the contrary, other diets are only controlling the amount of fat intake. Therefore, we still need extensive exercises to burn the fat in our body.

More Exciting Meal, Not Dull
More over, it allows us to select a list of favorite foods. Then, we will be given a 11-day meal plan. Since the idea behind the diet is to shift the calories, we can cook it in whatever ways we want. Hence, the foods are not boring. On the other hand, for diets like low fat and low calorie diet, I have to eat foods that contain little oil. The cooking method is either boil or steam. I would say that I'm sicked of food during that period of time.

Requires Minimum Exercises
As aforementioned, when our metabolism rate is high, we can lose weight even when we are doing our daily work.

    You are going to change the amount of calories eaten everyday. I do not really care of how many calories I am eating because I was given a 11 days meal plan, so I just follow... :)

    So when doing the calorie shifting plan, do you change the amount of calories that you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Or do you change the amount that you eat per day of the week?
