About Chres Village School and Orphanage and SOCPLSDO

The Sustainable Organization for Community Peasant Labourer Student Development and Orphans (SOCPLSDO) is a non-profit (NPO), non-governmental organization (NGO) and non-political organization that was established in 2006 by Mr Pong Sena.
The SOCPLSDO established the Chres Village School and Orphanage in the same year for the regional orphans, students, labourers and peasants from the villages in and around the district of Bakong of the Siem Reap province, Cambodia.
Donations and Sponsoring
What does it cost and how do I donate?

The Orphanage is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that relies solely from donations and from the people that run it. It takes only £7 / $10 to send one child to school with a uniform, backpack, and supplies for one year, only £1 / $1.50 per day to change someone's life. Please consider sponsoring the children. We hope to appeal to your sense of compassion to help these children either through a donation or by volunteering your time.

Chres Village School and Orphanage currently have 49 orphans that live in, also there are 350 children that attend the English, Chinese and computer classes on a daily basis. On this page you can find out a little more about a few of these children.

- Good lens, good project! I think it is in a way sad but also fascinating to see how relatively little money can make a huge difference to an individual. I will feature your lens in mine on a somewhat similar project in Ghana.
