Learn about cameras and camcoders...!!!

What is a camera or a camcoder???

So what is a camera anyway. Camera is tool which we use in our day to day life(An apparatus for taking photographs). Camera is basically a device for recording visual images in the form of photographs. These images may be still photographs or moving images such as videos or movies. cameras use glass lenses to focus and capture light much more quickly and to allow us to magnify images. In erlier day films were used which were very much sensitive. Nowadays digital sensors are used in place of films. a camera generally consisting of a lightproof enclosure having an aperture with a shuttered lens through which the image of an object is focused and recorded on a photosensitive film or plate. The part of a television transmitting apparatus that receives the primary image on a light-sensitive cathode-ray tube and transforms it into electrical impulses.

The technology is stepping up everyday. There are many companies available in the market. Samsung, Sony, Nikon, Panasonic, Canon etc some of the major market holding companies.Your point-and-shoot camera may not have come with many high-end features, but a simple software hack adds new tricks to dozens of Canon cameras. Beginners will likely be satisfied by their camera's default features, but as your photo skills grow, this relatively easy hack will let you wring extra value from your hardware with no added investment. The Canon Hacker's Development Kit (CHDK) is an open-source software framework that some motivated hackers have used to add cool features to Canon cameras.
I recommend it only to people who are trying to teach their old cameras new tricks.
##Top Point-and-Shoot Cameras With Manual Controls:-----
These compact point-and-shoot cameras put you in charge of your photos, thanks to manual controls for aperture, shutter, and exposure.
1.Canon PowerShot G12-(The G12 delivers excellent image and video quality; and it backs up its manual controls with fun scene modes, an optical viewfinder, and a tilt-and-swivel LCD screen).

2.Nikon Coolpix P7000-(The Coolpix P7000 combines great image quality, extensive manual controls, and a 7.1X optical zoom lens. DSLR owners should feel at home behind the wheel, but the unit's button-heavy interface may intimidate novice users)

3.Canon PowerShot S95-(The PowerShot S95 is a perfect camera to grow with, thanks to its pocketable size and ultimate blend of automated and manual controls.)

4.Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5-(The Lumix LX5 isn't the most novice-friendly camera, but it offers an insane amount of power for a fixed-lens camera when you dig into its manual controls).

5.Canon PowerShot SX210 IS-(The slick, slimmed-down follow-up to Canon's SX200 IS offers a near-perfect blend of manual controls and creative scene modes, and its video capture is stunning).

6.Samsung TL500-(The Samsung TL500 has some drool-worthy specs and shoots great photos, but it stumbles on usability and video quality).

7.Casio Exilim EX-FH100-(Casio's first high-speed pocket megazoom has superb battery life and image quality, but its noisy zooming and laggy autofocus are drawbacks).

8.Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR-(The 15X-optical-zoom FinePix F300EXR offers a boatload of features and imaging controls, but video quality, sharpness, and low-light performance are major shortcomings).

9.Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10-(The long-zoom, GPS-enabled Lumix ZS10 is a nice compact camera for travelers, but it suffers from indifferent image quality and mediocre battery life).
:-
##Top-Rated Compact Interchangeable-Lens :-
They lack the mirror boxes and through-the-lens viewfinders of a true DSLR, but these compact interchangeable-lens cameras shoot top-notch photos and video despite their smaller sizes.

1.Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2-(The interchangeable-lens Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 puts an innovative spin on touchscreen controls for advanced focusing tricks, and it turns in the best video capabilities we've seen to date among still cameras).

2.Sony Alpha NEX-5-(Sony's first interchangeable-lens compact camera, the NEX-5 offers image and video quality on a par with a DSLR and has unique modes that go beyond anything else in its class. The only thing missing is a built-in flash).

3.Olympus Pen E-PL2-(The Olympus E-PL2 is a compact, versatile camera that will please travelers or anyone who wants to take great pictures without lugging around pounds of gear).

4.Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1-(With a compact frame, a pop-up flash, interchangeable lenses, HD video-shooting capabilities, and simple-but-versatile controls, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 is an excellent alternative to an entry-level DSLR).

5.Samsung NX100-(The Samsung NX100 has a larger sensor, a lower price, and better image quality than most other compact interchangeable-lens cameras, but it lacks the lens selection and refinements of its chief competitors).

6.Olympus Pen E-P2-(The Olympus Pen E-P2 serves up unique in-camera controls and an attractive, durable design, but it costs significantly more than an entry-level DSLR, lacks a built-in flash, and has autofocus issues).

7.Samsung NX10-(We like the ease-of-use and firm construction of Samsung's NX10 interchangeable-lens camera, but its video and image qualities pale in comparison with those of competitors).

THINK for best possible option

Top models

As the name implies, here's where you find the best of the best, our top digital cameras across the board. To make it here, a camera really has to blow our socks off. That doesn't happen very often. If it did, our notion of "best" wouldn't mean much, would it? So check back periodically to see if any new models have left us barefoot and speechless.
TOP 5 models are--

1.Canon EOS 5D Mark II (body only) Editors' Choice - Canon EOS 5D Mark II (body only)

A great follow-up to the 5D and top-flight full-frame camera, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II delivers the fluid shooting experience and fine photos you expect from a professional model.

2.Nikon D7000 (body) Editors' Choice - Nikon D7000 (body)

An excellent dSLR for experienced shooters or Nikon professionals looking for a relatively cheap option, the Nikon D7000 delivers on almost all counts, including the company's best shooting design to date.

3.Canon PowerShot S95

Though we'd like it to perform better, dSLR shooters looking for a sidekick camera will find the Canon PowerShot S95's top-flight photos and a full manual feature set worth the tradeoff of its compact size.

4.Olympus E-PL2 (Black, with 14-42mm lens)

A great interchangeable-lens model if you're looking for better photo quality and/or a more advanced feature set than your current point-and-shoot offers, the Olympus PEN E-PL2 still doesn't satisfy for photographing active kids and pets.

5.Nikon Coolpix S8100 (black)

With fast performance, good photos, and an excellent feature-to-price ratio, the Nikon Coolpix S8100 is a compact megazoom worth considering.
