CamoSpace

A few weeks ago a friend emailed me to ask if I had ever been to camospace.com. She went on to say that CamoSpace was a social networking site for folks that hunt, fish and love the outdoors. That would be me so I told her that I would check it out.

I have previously looked over some of the social networking sites before but as a woman in my 60's, none of them really seemed like to fit. I reluctantly headed to the site thinking that it was going to be just like all the others. To my surprise, I LOVED what I saw there and signed up that very day!

The site is relatively new and it is geared for folks of all ages. Founder Denny Reid says "It's just a matter of them finding out about us. Once they find out about us, they're hooked. Where else can you enjoy yourself so much without having to shell out one penny?" In addition to providing a free service to members, the CamoSpace crew is committed to ensuring the site is a safe place for their younger members, too. "We want to have a place where kids can safely use the Internet," said Reid, a father of four. "It is a family-friendly site that is monitored to keep it that way."

I am signed up as womandeerhunter. I have had a chance to talk with other women and men about hunting, fishing, ATVing and more "outdoorsy" stuff. I have set up a group for women deer hunters which can be accessed from my CamoSpace page.

I know that I must sound like I am part of the CamoSpace crew but I'm not. I am just someone who found a great place to hang out and would like to share it with others.
