There are several places you can begin to look when buying a camper, we will discuss a few of them here.

Auctions: There are an ever increasing amount of seized auctions or 'repo' auctions that are appearing. The vehicles at these auctions are usually in great condition and have hardly ever been used. Whats more the starting prices are always extremely low and you can often get a great deal buying your camper this way. Private Sales: A time honored favorite is to check out the local classifieds, ebay or the RV press to find private sellers. This is the most common way of purchasing because it works out a little cheaper than buying from a dealership but it also involves a little more risk. Extreme care should be taken when viewing the camper and you should know exactly what things to look for in a used camper. Used Dealerships: A safer bet than private sales but still can involve an element of risk. Take care and try not to be blinded by the sales talk. Stay clear on what type of model you need and use the tips in the RV Buyer's Guide to help you decide if the camper you are interested is really worth buying or not.

New: If you can afford it then buying new can be a great way to get a great model with all of the latest accessories and features. There are some excellent financing packages available at most dealerships as the outright cost of some of the latest models can be quite astronomical.
