Can a Person Learn to Sing? Talent vs Persistence

The great myth of this world is that those with talent intelligence, good looks and other factors they may have just been born with are the only ones who will be really successful.

We often get sucked into this myth by all the beautiful people we see as celebrities and tales of the talented stars but in reality there is nothing oh so common as a talented nobody who has never reached the pinnacles of success because they never reached for it hoping that talent would simply carry them all the way.

That is right, talent means nothing when compared to persistence. Those that try, and struggle and get up every time they are knocked down wind up wiser and more successful than those on cruise control. This persistence and willingness to learn can often completely eclipse the inbuilt talent of others who choose not to expand on their skills.

This does not mean all people with talent are lazy but it does mean that most of the really talented superstars are also persistent and stubborn enough to continue to push their way to fame and fortune.

If you choose to really learn to sing well then no matter what your natural skills at the vocal arts are you can raise yourself to the level you want to do what you need with your voice and do not let anyone else tell you otherwise ... having talent just makes it a bit easier.
