Finding the best can opener

Ranked #10,940 in Home & Garden, #143,700 overall

Looking for a can opener that works?

I have opened this lens to help me find can openers that work -- and keep on working -- and to help me keep track the best for future (gifting) reference.

Such a device will make the perfect gift for my folks, who struggle over cans that don't have pop-tops, because their openers are old, rusty and dull thins. Useless -- or worse than no can opener at all.

More than once, as a visiting cook, I found myself puncturing and hacking my way into canned ingredients with a bottle opener and pocket-knife.

What a ridiculous and dangerous situation!

If you, too, are seeking manual or electric can openers -- that work, reliably -- I hope this lens helps.

I just ordered a few Ez-Duz-It openers. They are supposed to be like the Swing-Aways of old... well built and made in the USA! Hope they live up to the promise. I'm looking forward to trying them out.
