Our Laws Are Running A-fowl

Canada is supposedly a first world nation. That's right, a first world nation. Not a third world or worse nation. Our people reflect the mindset of a first world nation. Our country stands tall and proud on many fronts. We have laws that allow rights to our people that many countries won't allow.

Too bad that our country also has animals. I say too bad, because of the way we treat them. I say too bad, because they are nothing more than property to this country.

And the amount of bad media this country recieves on this is sickening. Yet you, and none of your government officals have a clue about c.r.a.p

Here's The Scoop Mr. Gov't

This Country Has Gone To CrapWhat's CRAP you're probably wondering by now?

It's confusion regarding animal protection. Our laws say one thing, you as a government in your actions, or should I say, inactions say another thing. And the general population is so ill informed of what is right, that those of us on the forefront of animal rights hit brick walls regularly in what is thought to be okay, and morally just.

It makes one wonder how much you really care about your country. After all, a very wise and intellegent man, one world renowned for peace and other great things once said, "The Greatness Of A Nation, And It's Moral Progress Can Be Judged By The Way It's Animals Are Treated" I wonder what Ghandi would think of Canada, the country of the Great White North, if he were alive today? From seal clubbing, to being known as North America's puppy mill capital, to roadsize zoos out of check, I think he'd be very disappointed in this country, and think us to have few morals.

Is that really how we want the entire world to see us? Forget our strides in being a peacekeeping country, the great things we've done globally. Do we really want them to think us as nothing but an immoral, ill educated nation who could care less about our animals then third nation countries?

THE TIME TO CHANGE IS NOW! ARE YOU READY FOR IT? 'CAUSE WE AS A PEOPLE ARE

Just A Sample Of What's Wrong With This Country

Important!

The Most Important Thing...

Is that you OUR gov't realize we won't stand idly by while you destroy our animals and our country. WE ELECT YOU, YOU WORK FOR US! Election time is coming, PROVE to us YOU CARE!

We The People...

We Don't Support YOUR Anti-Animal Canada! We people love our country. We really do. BUT we also love animals, and their rights too. As you surely know, those two things conflict here in Canada. And they conflict badly.

Our laws were written over a hundred years ago! Alright, fine, what's the issue right?

There's a big issue Mr. Gov't. Organizations across this country show you the issue each and every day, YOUR PEOPLE show you these issues every day. And you turn a blind eye. You IGNORE us, those who ELECT you, those who PAY you to do your job and REPRESENT us.

Do you know how hard it is to PROVE willful intent to injure an animal, and make it stick? Yet, everyday animals are subjected to the worst fates imaginable, and you DON'T CARE. YOU JUST DON'T CARE.

Well Mr. Gov't WE THE PEOPLE DO CARE. And we're gonna show you just how much we care.

We're not voting for you anymore. We're not allowing you to continue to crap all over our country's name anymore. We're done scooping up your shit!

What Do YOU Think?

Does Canada need to step up and change the animal rights and protection laws?

Yes, they are archaic at best.

Heather says:

When you know better, you do better. There was a time in this country when women and children were also considered property and it was more or less legal to abuse them. We know better now, laws protecting not only women and children but those of different races and sexual orientation.

We know better when it comes to animals, too. We know that it is not the right thing to treat them as property, to stand by and allow a fellow human to abuse "his" animals.

When are we going to do better?

No, leave them as they are!

Mr. Gov't...

How can you say this is okay? How can you say roadside zoos are alright? How can you stand by as we are called the puppy mill capital of North America?
