About Candace

Candace Cameron Bure was born April 6, 1976 to Robert and Barbara Cameron. She is the younger sister of Kirk Cameron and has 2 older sisters, Bridgette and Melissa.

Her big break came in 1986, when she was 10. She received the call to audition for the role of D.J. Tanner on Full House. She impressed the studio executives and producers so much that they delayed taping the pilot to allow her to complete work on her other obligations.

Full House instantly became one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. It ran for 8 years and is ranked as one of the top series of all time.

Candace's Family

Candace and her husband, Valeri met at a charity hockey game through Dave Coulier, "Joey" on Full House.

She asked him for a signed jersey and then they exchanged numbers. They have been married for 11 years and have 3 beautiful children - Natasha, Lev and Maksim.

Candace & Valeri's Wedding With Full House Stars

"Who knew this boy from Russia would marry a Hollywood actress? Being raised on opposite ends of the world, it certainly wasn't something that either Candace or I had imagined, but having strong work ethics and family values in common was a combination that naturally clicked."

Candace, Growing in God

Candace's Testimony in Her Own Words

"When I was growing up, my family wasn't Christian. We didn't talk about God and I didn't know anything about him. When I was twelve years old, my parents told us we were going to church; a friend had invited us.

It was strange to me, and I giggled at the thought of God. But as we continued to go every Sunday, my heart felt warm, and I saw how happy my mom, brother and sister were. I decided that I wanted to feel the same way.

It was Jesus Christ that was producing this change in them, so one Sunday morning, I asked Jesus into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. I was baptized along with some of my family at a later service. I was extremely excited about what I thought was my new Christian life."

"During my teenage years, I had what one would consider a very good life. I was on a hit TV show, was making lots of money and had a loving and supportive family...."
