Your Candle Home Business - What We Will Cover
3 Basic Ways to Make Money in Your Own Candle Business
Let's get started. Here's the outline -
- You can create income through your candle business by retailing your candles and other products directly. This can include home parties, office parties, open houses, information seminars, direct face to face selling, booths, shows, expos, gift baskets, corporate gifts, realtor open house and new home buyer gifts; teacher and specialty gifts; and much more. You are only limited by your imagination.
- Have you considered fundraising with a candle business? Think of all of the groups and organizations who are sick of candy bars, cookie dough, wrapping paper and more. Fundraisers and candles are a perfect fit.
- Team Building - many people don't consider this when they are considering a candle business, but imagine the ability to develop a ongoing, residual income by helping others also get started in their own candle business. More in this later.

Retail Profits From Your Candle Business
You can put cash in your pocket immediately by doing retail sales...
The process of selling high quality, gourmet scented candles is pretty simple. Since most people already buy scented candles they will be open to at least look at your gourmet candles. Once you let them smell your candles you are almost assured a sale!
A simple "show and smell" demonstration will put money in your pocket daily!
As I mentioned, there are many ways to retail your candles: Home parties, office parties, open houses, information seminars, direct face to face selling, booths, shows, expos, gift baskets, corporate gifts, and more.
What method interests you the most?
You are only limited by your imagination. And, when you choose the right mentor for your candle business you might learn some tricks and ideas you had not even considered.
Retail can also be done by just dropping off a sample to a friend
or stopping by with your Samples. Be ready to take orders and take money.
Imagine what your success ratio would be like if you made a commitment to a certain number of "Smell and Sells" each day, 5 days a week?
Set a goal to do this and you'll be well on your way to a growing, successful business. And, get any thoughts of being a "salesperson" out of your mind. Simply make contact, smile, have fun, and just be yourself --- let the "Tools" of your business do the work for you (your candles!)
Now, you may be asking - "Who will buy my candles?"
Really, the answer is most everyone you know. Wouldn't you rather buy from a friend? Especially if the product was top notch and priced competitively? Be sure you choose your candle company wisely.
Start making a list of the first 50 people who come to mind. You can approach these people and let them know about your new business and see if they are interested or if they have any referrals for you.
Remember, you are only limited by your own imagination! Think BIG!
One other thing, make sure the candle company you choose has an online shopping cart enabled so your out of area shoppers can but right online and a commission will be sent to you.
Here's a Summary of What You Will Need For Candle Retail
- A positive, "I can do this" attitude. This is the most critical. If anyone is having success selling candles, you can too!
- Inventory! Sounds silly, but you can't sell from an empty wagon. Candles are an emotional buy and people will buy more when they can see and smell. Determine the top sellers and carry those for sure.
- Catalogs, Brochures and Samples. Always be ready to pick up a new customer. Carry these while you are out and about. You never know when business will show up.
- Decide which ways of retailing you will pursue. Home parties, office parties, shows and expos, realtors and corporate gifts? The best way is the way you are most passionate about.
- Have a weekly retail action plan and commit to it!

Fundraising With Your Home Candle Business
Think of all of the groups who do fundraisers
One secret to success in your own home candle business is to help others achieve what they want. What better way to do this than with candle fundraisers which help organizations achieve success?
Imagine all of the organizations across the country that are looking for ways to earn money. Many of these groups rely on the same "tired, worn out" products and ideas year after year.
Imagine helping out a great cause while also earning money for yourself and your candle business at the same time?
Imagine being the first to bring candles as a fundraising option to the many groups and organizations in your part of the country. How many other groups will want to jump on board?
Candle Fundraisers can be extremely profitable for the organization as well as your own personal business. I believe that a person can earn a six figure income just focusing on Candle Fundraising alone.
And, as you do fundraisers, you create repeat orders from happy, satisfied candle customers, and you'll also find some people along the way who say - "This is great, I think I can do this, too. How do I get started in a Home Candle Business of my own?"
And, if you are thinking - "I don't know the first thing about getting started doing fundraisers!" Don't worry. Running a candle fundraiser is easier than you think. I've done it; you can, too!
How many times have you purchased over-priced candy, cookie dough, wrapping paper, pizza and so on, wishing that for once you could get something of value? People are tired of the same old stuff.
And, did you know that many states are now banning the sale of high fat, high sugar content products in public school fundraisers. The national obesity epidemic cannot be ignored and much of it starts in our schools.
That leaves a wide open option for you to promote a natural, high value candle as a fundraiser.
Gourmet scented candles make the perfect fundraising item. In a recent poll of women buyers, 96% said that they had purchased a scented candle within 12 months. With gourmet scented candles you can offer an alternative to something that almost everyone is already buying!
You'll want to consider this as part of your candle home business plan.
Here's a Summary of What You Will Need For Candle Fundraising
- A positive "I Can Do It" Attiture. This is critical to success!
- Begin to develop a list of groups and organizations to contact.
- Develop your appoach for fundraisers. What will you say? What will you show?
- Have top selling inventory to demo to the fundraising decisionmaker.
- Have packets together that include everything participants will need and use in the fundraiser.
- Develop your weekly action plan for contacting and running fundraisers.

Team Building and Sponsoring Others into Your Candle Business
Create an ongoing, residual income through your candle business
Team Building, better known as Network Marketing is a very solid component of a successful candle business.Did you know that in just a few hours a week, you can create a major second income that continues to increase over time? In fact, with persistence and commitment, this income could soon replace your current full time income. It could even create a lifestyle of the rich and famous.
What if it worked for you like it has worked for so many others, including me?
When was the last time you recommended a good book, restaurant or movie to a friend? How often do you do that? Probably pretty often, right?
But, when was the last time the publisher, restaurant or movie producer sent you a "royalty" check for the referral?
Probably, never.
Well, despite the way things usually are, the idea behind what is now the fastest growing home based business trend in America and around the world, Network Marketing, is that if you get paid for recommending things you like, use and believe in, you'll do this more and more! And, you'll probably find some others that want to do the same thing.
Network Marketing is a very misunderstood industry in many respects, and much of this has been created by some members of the industry and not by the companies themselves.
It is also one of the best ways for an average person to develop a very above average income working on a part time basis until the part time income exceeds the full time income.

My Journey Into a Candle MLM Business
At first, I couldn't see the fit for candles and MLM - Network Marketing
When I was introduced to the concept of Candle as an MLM Business Opportunity, I was not impressed. Maybe you are scratching your head, too, so please indulge me while I explain.Possibly, you may end up seeing what I saw!
I came into the world of MLM as a recruiter. My first company did not offer much in the way of a product (it was actually a service) that could be retailed for any significant profit. So, I was taught to recruit and team build.
As my dissatisfaction grew with that company and I looked at other MLM Business Opportunities, I found that nutrition companies offered much of what I was looking for.
Or, so I thought.
If you've been in MLM for any amount of time, you may have had that feeling of a fish swimming upstream against the current. Or, even like a fish out of water. No one seems to want your product, your MLM opportunity, and they certainly don't understand why you are doing this.
Have you ever felt this way?
I felt this way for years in the business. And, I struggled with my thoughts and feelings of being out of alignment. I felt that way until I finally found what was right for me in this business. I want to share that with you and see if it might help you in deciding where your fit is in the industry and how you might reach that place of feeling "in balance."
This may shed some light on Candles and MLM as a Business Fit.
In most companies, there is no real way to earn an income retailing the product. In most nutritional companies, the wholesale cost of the product is at or even above the wholesale cost of an equivalent product at a quality vitamin and supplement store. This means that $100 -300 auto-ship of products is left to the distributor to consume.
So, the whole focus is on sponsoring. In order to make money, one must be able to sponsor others into the program.
I also found that in many programs, as you move up the ranks, you must increase the amount of your auto-ship in order to earn your full paycheck.
While I do believe that network marketing is an awesome business and an incredible way to truly develop a "work at home" income, many of these characteristics about the industry were making it difficult for my target market to be a success. It could be done, but it likely would not be done by the masses.
As I began to look for a company that would be a fit for me, I realized that a few things really needed to be in place for me to access my target market, and offer something that would appeal to them; that they could see themselves doing successfully; and that would fit into the monthly budget they have to put toward a business.
What I Want From A Network Marketing Company
- Product with strong market appeal - others would want the product without needing to be convinced.
- Product had to have a wholesale price that was low enough to allow a retail mark-up where a distributor could put cash in the pocket right away.
- This would allow the distributor to make money without being forced to recruit.
- This would also provide a way for the distributor to develop a budget for advertising that came from the business itself - retailing the product. So, no extra money needed to come out of the family budget to fund the business.
- Had to have a low, monthly auto-ship cost, and the ability to recoup that monthly investment through retail.
- And, for those like me, who love team building and working with people, it must have a pay plan that would allow me to create an amazing income
Guess What? Candles and Network Marketing Have Worked Out Beautifully
I found a candle company that allows me to retail, do fundraisers and most importantly, Team Build.
And, I am thrilled to report that I found a company that fit all of my expectations. This meant there was something out there I could be successful with and then truly teach others within my target market to do the same.Once I began to pursue network marketing from this angle, things really changed for me. Not only was I able to make my opportunity a success, but I have been able to sponsor others into the program and teach them how to also be successful.
Today, I am back in balance and no longer feel like that fish swimming against the current. I am on the path of least resistance within the network marketing industry.
If you do or have felt this way, I encourage you to spend some time defining who your target market is, and what fits this target market. Know the parameters you are working with for success within this market. Then, find the companies who will offer what you need to provide in order to be successful.
Keep in mind that most nutritional products are already overpriced at the wholesale level, which leaves no room for a person to earn any type of retail profit from selling the products to others.
A person is forced to recruit in order to be successful, and this is often an MLM deal breaker!
And, think how many juice and nutritional companies are out there, Thousands! And, what are the true differences between them?
With candles as an MLM Opportunity, we are talking about maybe 6 companies total that are competitive with what we offer, and most are much smaller than our company. The number one candle company in the world is not an MLM business, either!
After a study of Direct Sales, I realized that the blend we offer between a retail product; the ability to recruit (but not the requirement); and the uniqueness of our product made this the perfect MLM Business Opportunity for me! How about you?
Men and Candles? Are you serious
Well, as a Six Figure Income Earner With Candles, I Recommend You Get the Facts
Home parties and a strong retail background are not at all me. My passion is teaching others how to be successful in MLM.
And, boy, is it working well with this simple, affordable and in-demand product.
Also, I was afraid that my target market would be limited to only women.
Was I ever wrong? The Candle industry is a $3 billion + industry and the Home Candle Business we offer is in the strongest growing part of that industry - gourmet, scented candles.
Whether you are male or female, young or old, how many people do you know who burn candles in their home? The answer is - 80%. Candles are a product that people love, give as gifts and don't require educating about in order to enjoy.
I encourage you to spend some time and do your own research on this industry, my team, and my level within the company. My credentials speak for themselves.
I invite you to learn more about a business that will not cost you a fortune, require you to chase after family and friends or require hours on the phone cold calling strangers.
See how we are putting the fun AND money back into Network Marketing. I have more team members making a full time living with this company than any other in my decade plus in the MLM industry.

Jackie, I am still researching. My one question for you is: How comparable is Mia candles to Gold Canyon. Yes, I am aware that Mia candles are made of soy but does Mia carry pomegranate. My family loves the Gold Canyon pom. How clean does soy actually burn. I ask this because burn being the operative word. I would really like to start selling candles or at least buying candles but I have a couple of children with asthma and would prefer something that would burn cleaner if that is even possible. Thank you for your time.
