This is a beautiful candle if you love red and white.

Even if you don't burn it, it will be a striking addition to your room.

I've had more comments on how beautiful my Black & Light candles are than I've had on all my other candles put together.

Candles By Victoria Candle and Tart Review

Candles By Victoria Candle Review

I was so excited when I received my candle and tarts from Candles By Victoria. I didn't know what Victoria was sending me, and I was really happy when I opened the box and saw a Chocolate Fudge Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Surprise candle, $13.50.

I love the layered look of the candle in the jar - and the cinnamon bun scented wax bits on the top of the candle (you can see them in the picture) definitely seem indulgent.

The smell of the candle is amazing - I can definitely smell the cinnamon from the cinnamon bun chunks combined with the sugar cookies. Yummy.

The only problem is that it makes me hungry...

Candles By Victoria Tart Review

I tried the Fizzy Pop tart first. The tart melted evenly in my electric tart warmer, and had a great throw - I could also smell it upstairs and downstairs.

This is also the only tart that I've ever used that I could just pop out of the tart warmer after I was finished with the tart. With other tarts I've had to pop the top in the freezer for a few hours, and sometimes I've had to pry tarts out of the tart burner with a knife, but with Candles By Victoria's tart I just let the tart cool, and I was able to slide the tart right out of the burner...

Mia Bella's White Chocolate & Coffee Candle Review

I received a Mia Bella White Chocolate & Coffee candle from Deb Clough an Independent Distributor and Team Leader for Scent-Sations, Inc, which makes Mia Bella Candles.

I've heard a lot about Mia Bella candles, but I've never had the opportunity to try one.

I got a 16 oz Jar Candle, and I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved it.

According to the brochure that I recieved, Mia Bella's Candles are made with a proprietary formula of vegetable, and natural, renewable materials. The candles crystalline appearance reminded me of the appearance of palm wax candles.

The candle had a nice scent throw that was noticeable, without being overwhelming.

Although my husband could smell the coffee in the candle, I wasn't able too, but I was still pleased with the sweet, white chocolate scent.

I did notice that when the house is on the cooler side, I can smell the candle for several hours after it's snuffed out.

I was impressed with this candle, and I'm really glad that Deb gave me the opportunity to try it.

Valente Lane Candles Review

I recently recieved some candles from Valente Lane Candles to review, and I am really impressed.

I recieved a stern reminder from Charlena, the owner of Valente Lane Candles to trim my wicks to 1/4 inch so the candles wouldn't smoke, and not to blow out the candles until they had pooled all the way to the sides of the jar so the candles wouldn't form a hole in the wax.

I chose the Pretty in Pink Candle in Palm Wax, and the Breakfast in Italy Candle in mottled wax.

When I recieved the candles, I was really impressed with how strongly they smelled, even while they were in the box! I later found out that it was the Pretty In Pink that smelled so strongly.

...

Over all I was very impressed with the fragrance of the candle, the scent throw, and the appearance of the candles!

Jax Candles Review

I recently received an 8 pack gift set from Jax Candles, and I was very impressed with the presentation, and the quality of the candles!

I was really impressed when I first burned my first candle (Pennies from Heaven), and I realized that I could smell it in the master bathroom. It is very hard to find candles that have a strong, pleasant scent, that can be smelled throughout the house, without having such a strong scent that makes people walk into the house and say "Wow, I have to leave, that candle is really stinky, is bothering my allergies, or is giving me a headache" but Jax Candles has managed to do this successfully.

After interrogating several people who came to visit while I was burning the votives, I found out that the house smells good, without having that "Oh she's burning a really strong candle" smell.

I was really impressed with Jax Candles, and I will definitely be repurchasing when I use these up!

Black & Light Candles Review

I was stunned when I opened the package of Black & Light Candles and saw how beautiful they were.

The presentation was great - each candle was placed in a box with a peel off label with the name of the company on it, so the label could be peeled off and the box could be reused.

The candles were on a "pedestal" made of cardboard that had the logo printed on the front.

Although I looked for instructions on at least three separate occasions I couldn't find the instructions for burning the candles, which of course I thought was very odd.

After talking to someone from the company I realized that the instructions were on the top of the pedestal where the base of the candle sat, which of course I'd never looked at, because I'd pulled the candles out of the box while they were lying on their backs.

Oops.

Although I've often heard that pillar candles that don't burn straight down the center are poorly made, Black & Lights candles don't burn straight down the middle, and that's how the company wants it.

I have to admit that I was a bit surprised when I was burning a 4 inch white dot candle in red for the second time, and realized that it was burning off center, and the outside wall was melting - you can see in the picture what I'm talking about.

When I talked to the company they said that was expected, and that many of their customers loved to see how the candle would melt down while it was burning.

Apart from my concern over the way the candles were burning, and wondering whether the wax was going to drip on my counters, (it never did) the candles burned beautifully.

They really do have a full top to bottom glow when they are burning, and they do make a dramatic presentation. Can you see the light coming out of the dots in the picture?

Black & Light candles are made of paraffin wax, and are all fragrance free.

Of course, the time you save trying to decide which fragrance to purchase will probably be spent trying to decide which design to purchase.

Black & Light Candles the only candles that have been complimented on their appearance while I was burning them.

I've had tons of compliments on scents - but never on the appearance of the candles before.

    Hi Sabrina, that's unusual!

I'm assuming that the candle was lit.

It could have just been a poorly made candle, or it could have been in a draft that was caused the wick to move off center, and the candle to burn unevenly.

It also could have burned too far down - you aren't supposed to burn candles all the way to the bottom.

Glad the candle didn't cause any more problems, and if you find out what happened let me know.

The weird thing happened today with my candle. I took a short nap and when I woke up I noticed my dark red pillar candle that was on my kitchen counter had actually split down the middle of the candle and had a lot of wax dripping all the way down to the counter. What does this mean??

    Hi

I'm the husband and sometimes advisor to the ceo of black & light co. She very much appreciates your comments. There is a ton behind this candle story which will come out over the next three months. The team and people behind this product come from every walk of life, from the dear man and inventor of the candle magic to the folks with disabilities that help package and fulfill this great examples of functional yet sophisticated art that just happens to glow like no other. Yes, I'm biased but I doubt any candle is made with more thought and care. Feel free to send any comments or conversation to customercare@blackandlightco.com. We will respond!!

I liked this lens, I love candels! My favourite candles are the one that split in two when they burn.

And I love to make my own candles!
