    I love games too, just wish I could get my dear husband to play Scrabble!

    CandyLand was the first board game I ever remember playing. I already bought it for my 10 month old daughter and am just itching to play when she's ready. Great lens.

    Excellent lens, I love board games but never played this. I've never seen it in England either, but maybe one day when I have kids I will find a copy for them.

    Another game we loved was mouse trap, and chutes and ladders, but candy land was our favorite!

    Candy land was my favorite game as a child. I played it over and over. Thinking about it now makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside! :)

    Candyland is a classic. I played it as a child and I played it with my children. It's a great game with a lot of staying power.

    You have inspired me to dig out our game and play with my toddler this weekend. I wonder if he is old enough for it yet. We will find out soon. Awesome lens... and well worth the purple star.

    Candyland is a great family game, especially with 2 young children. We have the castle version that has colored shapes for the youngest one, and our oldest loves playing the traditional version. It does take a lot of patience to play it with a child when you're the parent...but it's nice to be able to experience the thrill of it all over again.

    wonderful to find you have a page on Candyland! I used to love this game when I was a child. I was super excited to get it for my son who is now 4. When we first started to play last year when he was 3, it was a lesson in patience and frustration for me! no longer did I love this game lol. he understands how to play much better now so its more fun. I am a fan of board games and cant wait to try out a few others soon.

    Windy, your own personal photos really make this page. I remember when sons were young how they loved the Candyland game, then later a video game version came out and they really loved that one, too...so ya might want to add that here if you can find it. All of those vintage Candyland game boards in that one photo are awesome! 5*s! :-)

    This goes to show what a neglected child I was. I have never heard of this game. It looks cute though. Makes me think of the Candy Man song.

    Loved this colorful lens. Thanks for the memories. Candy Land was the first board game I got as a child in the late 1940s. OH what fun we had playing it. 5 and fave.

    Tipi and I played this game many, many times in the 50's and 60's and Mom still has the game at Kabetogama. I wasn't aware of the toddler version--what fun!

    I have played Candy Land so many times during my 61 years. There have been times when I thought I just could not play another game with my grandson but I always managed to play one more time. It is a great kid's game and this is a super lens. Congrats on a well deserved purple star.

    I had no idea the game Candyland had such a long history. Wow, 60 years! But now that I think about it, I remember playing it as a kid, then with my kids, now with my grandchildren.     I never cared much for Candyland. I don't think that the emphasis on candy is a message children need. I also wish it used printed words along with the colors to help children with beginning literacy skills.

    That said, I have never met a child that didn't like Candyland.

    You have done a wonderful job highlighting it in this lens.

    Got to say I never heard of this game. Possibly only available in the States, but we seemed to get whatever was available in Canada. Our favourite game was Cooties, it had the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.

    I loved candyland. We never had the game but my friend did and everytime I went over to her house we played the candyland game. Oh, the memories.
