A Review of the Canon EOS Rebel XSi
Eventually, I came across this neat little machine: the Canon EOS 450D (Or as known by it's other name: the Rebel XSI.) I was able to buy it for $1,249 online. That is, body, standard lens and telephoto lens.
And here's why you should consider buying it as well, if you are thinking of pursuing your photographic dream.
My Experiences
Canon EOS Rebel XSi (a.k.a. 450D) SLR Digital Camera Kit (Black) with 18-55mm IS Lens & Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens + 8GB + Deluxe Accessory K#6

The beauty about this camera, is that is very easy to operate. The instruction manual is straightforward and the camera itself hides all the information you don't need at that particular moment.
Though it's a very good camera, I wouldn't recommend it to the professional photographer. There simply are better ones out there for more or less the same price. You see, when you are a professional, you often like more (detailed) information on screen and more options to choose from. Let's take one example: the ISO values. With this machine you can choose between ISO 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600. However, I know many professional photographers who want a wider array of choices.
The Canon EOS 450D is ideal for beginning photographers who want to go a step further than 'basic' or for people who want to learn how to operate a reflex camera.
I'd suggest buying the camera in a package as shown here. You save a lot of money and you immediately get two lenses, an SD card, a tripod and much more. Remember, if you just buy the body and the standard lens, you will most likely not get an SD card and without SD card, no pictures ;-)
Do you use it?

- Nice lens, but you could have added more information like the technical features, its speciality that you like, its pros and cons, which will give the readers some idea about the camera.
