Canon HV40- Shoot Professional Quality Video With The Vixia HV40!
I must admit that when Canon introduced the Canon HV40, I was a little skeptical. The fact is, I had fallen in love with my HV20, and couldn't believe anything could be better!
I have learned that with all the formats available in the market today, such as hard disk, flash memory, tape, etc. etc., it is best to stick with a proven winner. Canon has introduced the HV20, HV30, and now the Canon HV40, and each model has been an improvement over the previous model.
Canon has once again established itself as the worldwide leader in quality camcorders!

SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization
Canon's superior SuperRange OIS has both gyro and image sensorswhich provide image stabilization through a larger range of camera movements.
For the most part, image stabilization systems fix one kind of camera movement or vibration better than others. However,Canon's SuperRange OIS fixes a wide range of camcorder movements:
For example, the fast vibration you'd get while recording from a moving car; the medium-speed motion of recording by hand; as well as the slower movement of body sway.
Regardless of what you're recording and the way you're recording it, the VIXIA HV40's stabilization feature fixes camcorder shake in the blink of an eye.. SuperRange OIS also provides steady images when shooting at greater distances..

Canon HV40- Conclusion
O.K. o.k., their are easier cameras to learn how to use than the Vixia HV40. However, I wanted something that was versatile, in that it could shoot either SD or HD, relaiable, and produced stunning images.
I definitely got what I was after!
I have a friend who is a professional videographer, and even he uses the Canon Vixia HV40 for quick shots while he is on the road. He tells me that the image quality is as good or better than his mega priced HD camcorders.
Is this camera cheap?
No, but who wants a "cheap" camcorder anyway? It is a GREAT value for the money. Besides, you get what you pay for!
