Special Features Of The Canon Powershot Cameras Review
I also discovered by studying Ken Rockwell's website that I do not need more megapixels and that I need to develop the creative ability to betray my subject in a unique style. And also that resolution and ISO are just numbers created by the major camera manufacturers which are used to try to sell you more high-priced cameras. And so once I get the lighting settings correct then I do not have any problems with getting a very beautiful picture. So what I've been doing a lot lately is studying how to set my camera to the different light levels and situations throughout the day.
Canon s95 Po Folk Review
There are a great deal of manual controls although this camera is very easy to learn. I also like the programmable S button on the back and it can be programmed to 20 totally different functions. Always keep my own AE lock or exposure lock. First I will find exposure level that I want and then I will press the S but which will lock the exposure. Then I will move the camera and refocus on what I want to take a picture of without having to hold down the button or lock the focus also the control ring on the front is also easy to program and you can select from a lot of different options. This camera is very easy to customize without being complicated to a beginner is really very fantastic.
For this canon s95 the IQ is excellent and I am getting very crisp and clear shots in the daytime. The light metering for the white balance is very good. You are not going to get SLR DOF performance with this Canon but he can get very close and create very interesting images that crisp and clear.
As far as the lowlight nighttime photography with this camera it is absolutely outstanding. I have never seen such beautiful lowlight shots with a compact digital camera as I have with this one. Even inside the camera produces some beautiful images. The great thing about%u2022 this camera you can get very close to a DSL are. Is the fact that if you are a beginner or if you're just starting out in photography you can just set it to automatic and it will take some very beautiful pictures. Along with the option to customize and manually set your ISO and other settings manually. You can set the shutter speed, aperture, ISO, etc. anyway you like it.
Another feature that I like a lot is the fact that I can just stick his camera in my shirt pocket and take off. If I need to get a quick picture I can just pull it out of my pocket and start snapping away without messing with a lot of different settings.

I have produced terrific 12 x 8 prints from a three megapixel camera and a 40 x 60 prints from a six megapixel camera. All you really need is a six megapixel camera and most cameras today that are sold on the market have two or three times more than that.
Do not buy camera just because the salesman tries to talk into a lot of technical stuff like megapixels because megapixels have nothing more to do whatsoever with the cameras quality than the number of headlines on 18 wheeler can make it go faster. The only thing the higher ISO settings are going to do is make your picture look a little grainier and they look terrible at those settings.

Control ring for intuitive manual control
Focus, Exposure, ISO, Step Zoom, or White Balance can now be adjusted more precisely than ever with the S95's control ring. It's even more intuitive and quicker than the usual 2-button control and the S95 lets you decide which function the ring will adjust.
Bright f/2.0 lens
The S95 sports an f/2.0 aperture, perfect for creating enticing portraits, by drawing attention to the face and blurring the background with its impressively shallow depth-of-field. The Macro setting lets you get even closer. The large aperture also does more. It lets you capture more nuances in low light shooting by using more of the available light. You'll be ready for anything with a lens aperture larger than even many professional sizes.

- Great information on what to look for when purchasing a camera. Thank you for sharing this information. I love to take pictures of anything and everything, but I'm still learning the ropes. It's great to have a camera that has the easy of a point and shoot camera, but can also be adjusted through the manual settings to get a much more detailed shot in any lighting situation.
