An amazing camera for serious photographers

The new Canon 5D Mark II is here! I currently own a Canon 5D and a Canon 40D, as well as a Canon G9, and I look forward to receiving the Mark II, with its higher resolution, higher ISO, new Digic IV processor, much improved LCD, and HD video capture. An excellent choice for landscape, street, and wedding photography.

I got my Expedition 8 on Dec 6! The design and the internal organization are great. It's fairly heavy, but very spacious and very well padded. I could fit all my gear: two bodies (Canon 5D + 20D), three lenses (24-70mm, 70-200mm, 85mm--see more detailed description above), the 2x extender, the 580EX flash, two Wolverine portable hard disks (60GB + 80GB), a couple of extra batteries, cleaning materials, memory cards, chargers for the Canon batteries and the Wolverine hard disks, my Velbon El Carmagne 630 tripod with Acratech head, and there's space left! The combination of hardware and backpack does weigh about 30-35 pounds.

Note: according to the manufacturer, you can carry the Expedition 8 in an airplane cabin. Haven't tried it yet; I think it will be a close fit...
