So you've taken the plunge and purchased a brand new Canon Digital SLR camera. Congratulations!
One of the first decisions many of us will face when purchasing a D-SLR is what lenses we will purchase for use with the new camera.
Can you use your old 35mm lenses? Do you stick with the 'kit' lens? What about a wide-angle? Telephotos? Does your lens do the camera justice? What about the 'crop' effect on those cameras with a smaller sensor?
These are just a few of the questions that routinely come up for people new to D-SLR photography.
As a hobbyist with a limited budget, I had to make my selections carefully and agonized over these questions myself.
This page is provided as a resource to assist you in selection and purchase of lenses to go with your new Canon D-SLR camera.
You will find links to some of the best digital photography sites on the web, as well as information on some of the more popular lenses in use by digital photographers today.

Great websites to help with all of your digital photography needs.

- The Luminous Landscape
- Great site by nature and landscape photographer Michael Reichmann containing many examples of his amazing work along with detailed information on the hardware and techniques used to get the shots.
Don't miss Michael's great Lens Selection Guide which is invaluable as you get started on choosing a lens for your new camera. - Digital Camera Resource Page

- Photo.net Canon lens review
- Though a bit outdated (it's centered on the EOS 300D), this page over at photo.net contains a great set of capsule reviews on some of the more common canon lenses in use by enthusiasts today.
- Fredmiranda.com Lens Reviews
- Another fantastic resource, Fred Miranda's homepage contains a great section with end-user reviews of lenses for the EOS system. Dozens of reviews are available for the more popular lenses and they are sorted in an easy to read 'forum' layout.
