1. Canon Rebel T3 is just as beautiful like the images that it will capture. It has an incredible 63-zone dual layer metering system for accurate exposures; live view shooting; HD video recording and a convenient feature guide in-camera. What is even more significant is that the T3 boasts advanced 12 megapixels of sensor resolution and new generation DIGIC 4 imaging processor. These features combine to allow a wider range for ISO sensitivity of 100 to 6,400.

2. The T3 also features a 9 point AF system with one f/5.6 center cross-type point and a much wider range for EV 0/18. This is an improved AF system and it sits beside Canon's existing generation dual layer metering chip. This camera also has a compensation range extended for +/-5 EV exposures; and adjustable auto function for lighting optimization and a useful mode for Highlight Tone Priority.

3. The Auto Lighting Optimizer mode will allow users to make local adjustments for brightness and/or contrast to provide better shadow details beneath contrast lighting. There are 3 levels available, in addition to an Off mode. This is not really a strong effect for working, but can be useful in such conditions.

Even though Canon T3 movie mode offers an upgraded feature, it's pretty basic when compared to the existing standards because the camera only records high definition video at 1,280 x 720 pixel at 30 or 25 fps without options for VGA or Full HD capture. As mentioned above, the basic recording capability is still good and it's ideal for casual snapshots.

6. There is a Creative Auto mode feature that will allow amateur users to adjust the flash, exposure, drive mode, resolution and Picture Style quite easily. The shutter speed and setting aperture can be transformed to simpler impressions of background blur and exposure level using the Main dial to adjust the slider.

7. Canon Rebel T3 features a Live View mode that entry-level users are familiar with as it pertains to framing pictures on the LCD display screen on digital cameras. With this feature, it's easy to move around the AF point, change from Phase-detect to Contrast-detect modes and vice versa (Quick AF) as well as zoom in up to 10 times.

8. The T3 also delivers the look and feel that is recognizable with Canon's Rebel series. These are fairly compact models which offer the benefits of shooting with SLR image quality, low light capabilities, fast focusing and more without the bulkiness of most higher-end SLRs. As of such, these cameras are appealing to those who are not keen on the larger models with bulky grips as well as the advanced users who want an alternative for their larger cameras if they don't need faster frame rates and so on.
