Camera Obscura

Free-Form Artists - that's what we are. My partner and I love to play with line and color until something emerges. This piece reminded me of the first Camera Obscura I created in High School out of an oatmeal box. It made a beautiful panorama of a sunrise. My brother was upset because he made a very meticulously elaborate metal camera with limited results.

The tie was created from a slice of the original artwork.

Picasso Rose

Picasso Rose is a Rose and not a painting by Pablo Picasso. I can understand the confusion because of Picasso's Rose Period. This is our rendition of the rose: Wildly Abstract.

Odyssey of the Mind

It was a toss up between Odyssey of Love or Odyssey of the Mind, which can sometimes be one in the same. It's the richness of color and texture that makes this piece so appealing.

Round and round and round the mind goes.

I Love Lucy

A little more on the topic of Free-Form Art: we start with our digital canvas and paint in lines and color. We then work on texture and flow applying layer after layer after layer. Sometimes a piece can take an hour, sometimes they can take months like this one.

This little lady falls under the categories of fun, funky and psychedelic.

Love Passion Desire

Love Passion Desire was one of our first digital abstracts. Originally named Enigma, it appeared in Mendocino Arts Magazine in an article on digital art.The chaotic flow of line and color pretty much summed up my feeling towards Love, Passion & Desire, hence the name change.

TNT for the Brain

A self portrait. Like most artists, thoughts take the form of line and color. I live in a constant swirl of visual images and when they're ready they explode onto canvas. This one turned out to visually express what usually goes on in my mind.

    All of these ties are so wonderful to see! and such a good idea... I have never submitted or participated on Squidoo before and this lens is my first try at responding - love these! Everyone has done a beautiful job and I wanted to add to the fun and be part of it - Thank you for doing this
